Chapter 86

*BRIANNE’S POV*

The morning air clung to my skin as I stood among the trainees at the pack house training grounds. It felt strange to finally be here after all that had happened. A part of me wasn’t ready for this. The physicality of the training, the eyes of the other pack members watching, and the weight of everything that had happened between me and Jordyn pressing down on my shoulders. But I had to push through it. Life didn’t wait for heartbreak to heal.

“Let’s go!” Barked the training instructor, her voice slicing through my thoughts as we moved into formation for our next exercise. I followed her commands without hesitation, my body moving on autopilot while my mind drifted in and out of focus.

The training ground buzzed with the energy of the pack members, each one pushing themselves through drills, but my focus was barely there. Everything felt dull lately. Even the sharp jabs of pain from my muscles straining didn’t seem to reach me.
