Hello my readers Fiona here and I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who’s reading this book. But a little note for you all to consider. I am a doctor and I work long hours. Writing is sort of therapeutic for me; a way of clearing my head of all the awful things I’ve seen everyday at work. I work at one of the busiest hospitals in my city and trust me, I pray nobody sees some of the things I see. I started this book on November the first and today is the eighteenth of December where I’m at. There are already 58 chapters and I’m about to update chapter 59. The book has only been on the app for 48 days. So you guys do the math. I do give two chapters per day sometimes. I can’t believe they’re people complaining about updates when I update everyday given my schedule. When I come home from work, I spend three to four hours writing a chapter. Then I go to sleep. When I wake, I spend another hour editing to the best of my ability before upload. Not to mention I have an household to take care of before heading to work to do my 14 sometimes 16 hours shifts. Some of us on this app can’t rely on writing to pay our bills. If I could write all day, I would, but for now 1 chapter per day is all I can do. Having people complain when I’m working so hard already makes me feel like I’m not doing a great job and it’s very discouraging. But again, thank you all for your support.
~Love, FionaMaster Cameron was sucking on his fingers like they were the private parts of his mate. "This chicken is some of the best I've ever eaten," Cameron mentioned as he fought the urge to lick the curried gravy clean off the plate. "It's a Caribbean speciality," Magda grinned as she watched the lycan devour his meal. King Kanyon however, was only sipping on the cheap red wine they were serving. His views kept scrutinizing each one of their faces. It was easy to read these people, they were shallower than a kiddies pool. His beast could sense the sexual tension between the alpha and his daughter-in-law. The two sat facing each other, and with each bite alpha Conroy took, his tongue flicked out to lick his fork in a suggestive manner while his gaze remained fixed on the she-wolf's lips. Kanyon was disgusted by this behaviour. Since the she-wolf was sitting two seats away from him, it wasn't difficult to smell her arousal. Kanyon would sense the Luna watching him, but every time he lifted
"Jessica?" Magda's voice was heavy with rancour. The Luna couldn’t believe her ears. That servant-omega-slut? "You're saying you'll forgive my husband's debt if you could have her?" The Luna threw her head back in her seat and laughed. What kind of curse was this? That bitch was dead, yet her name and memory still haunt her. "What is it with men and this girl? Tell me because I don't get it," she continued, laughing her head off. "Magda, have you gone mad, woman?" Conroy snarled. "Be quiet and shut your mouth.""I should shut my mouth?" Magda squinted at her husband. "How dare you tell me to shut my mouth? This is my pack. I was born and raised here. My father ran this place like a true leader and so did his father and his father before him," Magda let out. "This is your fault, Conroy. Your spending and gambling habits are the reasons for all of this," she snapped, and Conroy slumped in his seat. "Don't look so surprised. You think I don't know about your gambling addiction?" Magda s
'You sly motherfucking fox,' Cameron's voice boomed inside Kanyon's head. 'You're a damn genius, your majesty.''I know,' Kanyon answered through the link as he waited for the werewolves to finish catching their breaths. "I don't have all night," he hissed. "Are you taking this deal or not, Alpha Conroy?""I—I don't know what to say," Conroy sighed. "Is either you make a deal with me, or Ozzy here will wreak havoc on your pack and kill a lot of people. You don't want a bloodbath, do you?" He questioned, seeing the panic look on the alpha's face. "OK. I guess if this means I can save my people, then we have ourselves a deal," Conroy exhaled. "Wait a minute, father. You're just gonna hand over our pack like that?" Cory snarled. "Cory, try to understand. This is not just the best way, but it is the only way to ensure our safety," Conroy explained. Cory slumped back in his seat, gritting his teeth while he folded his arms at his chest. He felt like his father borrowed money from one d
King Kanyon spent a few minutes talking to Alpha Daniel. He wanted to know how Jessica was doing. The alpha told him she woke up for a few minutes, and that she asked for him. Kanyon informed him he'd be back in a couple of days. He was nearing the end of his call with Lucy when a knock interrupted him at the door. His lycan senses told him who it was. "You may enter," he called out. Cameron pushed the door opened and stepped inside. He gently closed it behind him and walked up to his friend. Cam saw the worried look on the king's face as he sighed. "What's bothering you?" Cam asked him. "Everything," he sighed. "Being here among these people is only making my rage worse. It's taking everything in me to keep myself calm." "I know what you mean. I feel the same way," Cam confessed. "So how'd your talk with Lucy go?" "Everything is in motion. She assured me that she would email the documents so I can handle business in the morning.” "Good because I want to get going from t
Cory's body was weak and in pain, as the King withdrew his claws from the back of his neck. Kanyon had hit a nerve due to the boy's thrashing. No matter how hard Cory tried, he couldn't shake off the king's hold. Kanyon wiped his hand on his clothes and backed away from him. "Cameron, take him away now before I murder him," the king seethed. He saw everything that happened between him and Jessica. Even though she had told him everything, and it made him and his beast angry, seeing it with his own eyes was making their wrath worse. They wanted to skin Cory alive. Kan was finding it difficult to cling to his humanity. "Now Cameron!" he barked. "Right away. Your majesty." Cory lost consciousness and was slick with sweat. Cam grabbed him by the arm, threw him over his shoulder then carted him off to his chambers. 'The Alpha and Luna will be pissed when they find out what we did to their son.' 'I don't care Sinbad. That slimeball had sex with Jessica, knowing he was going t
Chrissy was dashing through the forest in wolf form. She kicked up chunks of mud with each stride as her paws sank into the terrain. 'How could Cory do this to us?' her wolf, Tia, asked. 'We are the daughter of an alpha.''He's an asshole. That's why,' Chrissy groaned. 'I can't believe I ever loved him. All the empty promises and false hope he gave me. I was so naïve to believe him. I should have married Alpha Bruno. At least I'd be swimming in a sea of gold right now.'She followed her instincts and let her wolf take her down to the lake. The place that she and Cory would meet in the past and have sex. Her wolf began to slow down. The air was thick with the scent of passion. 'What's wrong, Tia? Do you pick up something?''Yes. I hear moaning, and I smell lust and pleasure all around me.'The wolf lay flat on its stomach and advanced slowly toward the nearby bushes. The wind was telling her the scent was coming from the lake. Tia was quiet as she crept behind the shrubs. Her yellow
"Can you believe what we saw last night?" Cameron chuckled. "As a matter of fact, I'm not surprised. After everything I've learnt about these people, nothing is too heinous for them to do," Kanyon explained. "Lets just take a look around and get going. I would rather not stay here another night.""Yes two nights here is enough."King Kanyon and Cameron added another night to their visit so they could tour the pack. The high-ranked quarters were lavishly decorated, and it pissed them off to learn that the omegas didn't dine with the rest of the pack. In fact, they would get the leftover foods that the high-ranked wolves didn't eat. “Ah, there you both are,” Alpha Conroy acknowledged. "I wish you could stay a few more days. My wife and I plan to host a celebration for our twentieth wedding anniversary in the coming days.”Cameron and Kanyon exchanged glances before speaking to the alpha. "I'm afraid we can't do that. We have to leave today," Kanyon answered. "We have lots of importa
Cameron didn't feel like going to Osbourne's castle. He thought Kanyon was too lenient in offering forgiveness. A century ago, Osbourne themed up with his brother and tried to have the King overthrown. He wanted to be the king himself. But they were tried for treason where his brother was locked up for eternity, and he was exiled to this place. ‘Are you sure about this, your majesty?’ Cameron asked through the link as the guards guided them inside the castle. ‘Yes. We won't stay long. I'm going to get his signature on these documents, and then we'll make our way back to the Warmblood pack. Alpha Daniel says Jessica is doing well.’‘Great and have you talked to Anna?’ Cameron wanted to know. The king shrugged. ‘Come on, man, she's carrying your pup. I know you smelt it on her.’‘I tried to block that out, but I guess I'll have to face it head-on. I can't shake off the image of Jessica's reaction when Anna said she was having my child.’‘That girl has been through too much already. Sh
"Put me down, Kanyon. I can walk!" Jessica snapped. Despite her wriggling and complaints, the King kept her in his arms until they got to her bedroom. "What did Zachery mean by you should tell me the truth? What else are you not telling me?" Jessica asked as they stepped inside her room. Kanyon made sure to close the door after he entered. "Jessica, do you trust me?" He asked her. A sigh escaped her lips. "Yes, but I —""Then don't worry about what that maniac said. Have faith in me. I will tell you all that you need to know when the time is right. I promise.""OK," she let out. "I'll hold you to that promise." Kanyon checked the time on his phone. "I guess I will have to eat later. I have a conference call to make right now, but did you at least enjoy your breakfast?" "I didn't even eat anything because Zachery interrupted me.""If you'd like, I can have Lucy get something for you.""Sure, I'd appreciate that."Kanyon used the mind-link to tell Lucy that she should bring breakfas
I've never been to breakfast without Kanyon, Jessica thought to herself. But if she was going to live in this kingdom, then she had to force herself to get used to the place and live like the lycans. She couldn't count on the king to take food to her everyday in her room. He was a busy man, who had way more important things to do than cater to her. So Kanyon slept in Anna's quarters last night, she sighed dramatically while her feet carried her to the grand hall. "So much for him loving me," she whispered under her breath. Why were men like that? They ran into the next available arms when they didn't get their way. Was it a testosterone thing? Or was it an ego thing? Regardless, Jessica found it hard to trust another man with her heart. As she stepped into the packed area, it turned out to be completely different from what she had imagined. At the Warmblood pack, the kitchen staff, consisting of omegas and other high-ranked wolves, served breakfast. Although this approach was somewh
"Slow down Jess. You're not making any sense," Ariel said over the phone. "Kanyon told me he loves me last night, and I freaked out. I told him I wasn't worthy," Jessica repeated, but this time she took a breath between every word so her statement didn't sound jumbled. "Girl, you better go tell that man you feel the same way before it's too late. Life waits on no one," Ariel instructed. "I know, but I thought since I am an omega, and he's the lycan king, it wouldn't work out," she sighed. She figured it was best to keep the whole wolf/beast fiasco to herself. She wasn't even sure if it was real or just a dream. "Plus he's expecting a pup with a high-ranked she-wolf. Don't you think it's best he mates with the mother of his child?" Jessica whispered, biting her bottom lip while she used her finger to play with the phone cord. "No, the fuck I don't. The heart wants what it wants and he doesn't want Anna. The man craves you, Jessica. I saw the way he looks at you," Ariel barked out.
'Slow down, Sinbad,' Kanyon asked his beast as they bolted back to the castle. He took Sin out for a hunt because they couldn't sleep, not after that kiss with Jessica. 'I just can't get her out of my mind,' Sinbad complained. 'Will she ever trust us enough to give us her heart?' 'I don't know, Sin. We'll just have to give her a little more time,' Kanyon murmured. 'I don't know if I have it in me to wait,' Sinbad hissed. 'Last night I wanted to grab her and mark her right there by her door.' 'That would have traumatized her even more,' Kanyon let out. 'I know,' Sin growled. 'It was never this difficult with Ellie. Why is that?' 'Isn't it obvious? We loved Ellie, we still do, but we were never in love with her. We might have stolen a few kisses from her, but there was a reason we were never eager to bed her. We weren't sexually attracted to her.’ 'I always thought that maybe we were just too busy running our own kingdoms to partake in sexual exercises,' Sin chuckled. ‘B
It took Jessica some time before she could drift off to sleep. No other kiss had ever made her feel the way that one did. It was like her soul touched his. It was magical. "Get a grip, Jess," she mumbled to herself. She tossed and turned, fluffing her pillows, struggling to get comfortable. Still, how could she manage to think clearly when her mind was filled with thoughts of Kanyon's soft yet demanding lips and his enticing aroma? He smelt like sex itself and his masculinity was overwhelming. Each time she ran her hands over him, the way he would clench his jaws and the hardness of his muscles made her swallow nervously. Plus he opened up about his feelings for her. Was it even real? She pondered. She let out a tired yawn. "I know. I'll phone Ariel in the morning and ask her for some advice." Jessica blinked away the world and peacefully dozed off. ****** Jessica opened her eyes to find herself surrounded by total darkness. She couldn't see anything at all; no lights,
King Kanyon remained patient while Jessica gathered her thoughts. He told her everything about how his wife died, well, almost everything. He left out the fact that Ellie is her aunt and her mother's twin sister. "Kanyon! I'm at a loss for words," she gasped. "How can one woman be so evil?""I was on my way to gut her when I found you," he sighed. "Call it fate or coincidence, but I was meant to find you that day.""I'm glad you did,” she beamed."There is something else I want to tell you," he stated. "I went to the Graceland pack and had a meeting with the alpha and Luna. I also met the red-headed harlots and Cory and his wife.""So they got married," she rolled her eyes. "Figures,” she scoffed. “But how did I not know you went to see them?”"It was after the vampire almost drained your blood. You were in and out of consciousness, and recovering in the hospital, so Cam and I used that time to pay the pack a little visit.""I wish I could have come.""I'm glad you didn't. I gained a
"Enough about mascots! I could use some sleep right now,” Reniece yawned. "OK," Cameron chuckled. He grabbed two pillows along with a blanket and flung them down on the carpet. Reniece took it upon herself to go settle on the floor. "What are you doing?" "This is me resting my head on the pillow.” She fixed her head on the pillow. "And this is me getting ready to go to sleep.” She turned her back to him and pulled the blanket under her chin. Her eyes widened when she felt the blankets being dragged from her body. "What is the meaning of this?""Get on the bed!" Cameron gritted out. "The floor is mine.""Did you mark your territory with piss or something? You take the bed," she bit back. "I feel like I’ve been cursed. You're so stubborn," he hissed. "Just get on the damn bed." "I prefer the floor,” she spoke calmly. "OK. Sleep on the damn floor if you want. I don't care,” Cameron complained while stepping over her and heading to the bed. "See. Wasn't that easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy
Anna thanked the lycan with a smile for assisting her in moving her belongings into her bedroom. "Thank you for your help.""My pleasure, madam. If you need anything, I'll be stationed at your door. I am Lewis, by the way," the Lycan bowed. "And I'm Annabella, but everyone calls me Anna.""Alright Anna. Enjoy the rest of your morning and welcome to our kingdom," Lewis beamed before he left the chambers. Anna's face immediately fell into a scowl. She hoped Kanyon would be the one to take her to her new suite, but he dismissed her as if she were his biggest inconvenience and sent a staff member to guide her instead. "I'm so fucking pissed off right now!" she grunted as she kicked her shoes off. "It's not like Jessica's child was his. Why did he have to go with her to the grave?" 'Don't be bitter, Anna. The king will be here soon. So why don't you go freshen up and wear something sexy to catch his eyes,' her wolf suggested. 'I don't think I can look sexy with my belly looking like a
The news of Anna's pregnancy spread through the Warmblood pack like wildfire. Anna told the cook, who brought dinner for her while she slept in the hospital. The cook told the stable-boy who told the handmaiden, who told the butler, who told the pack hairdresser, and you know nothing stays a secret once the hairdresser learns your business. It only took two hours for the pack to be whispering and gossiping about the king of all Lycan Kings and Anna's love affair. "I heard he couldn't resist her beauty," a she-wolf said to the gardener. "Well I heard she fed him stewed peas sprinkled with blood in order to seduce him," the gardener replied. So many different stories were getting around that the truth was getting lost in the lies. *****"What the fuck Cameron! I told you Anna is having a boy and ten minutes later, it is all over the pack," Kanyon fumed. "I didn't say anything to anybody. I was surprised when Theo mentioned it to me and that boy doesn't even leave his room.""Then
