"No!" Jessica gasped. Maybe she didn't hear him right. How could the alpha even consider making her his second wife? He must be mad. Luna Magda would probably kill them both before she would be able to even make it to the aisle. Plus, what about Cory? There's no way he would just stand back and let his father marry his mate.
"Yes, little one," Alpha Conroy chuckled. "Don’t look so surprised. You heard me right. I want you to be my wife." "But you already have a wife and the pack already have a Luna," Jessica tried to reason her way out of this. "I know all of that, little one and certain things won't change," he explained. "Magda will continue to be Luna of the pack. You will simply be my wife. The one I bring to balls, functions, holidays and such. Magda's place is to stay here and solve various pack problems and make sure the schools and hospitals have supplies." "So I'll just be eye candy?" Jessica scoffed. "I wouldn't put it like that," he laughed. "But Magda is twenty years older than me. My only reason for marrying her was to inherit her father's pack. She isn't my true mate." "And neither am I," Jessica spat. "I know that, little one," he kissed her cheek, and Jessica recoiled. "But you are beautiful, young, and I believe fertile," he explained, and Jessica's eyes widened when she figured out what the alpha's true intentions were. "I always wanted more pups, but Magda's days of breeding are over. Plus I've never been attracted to her in that way and now that she's older, I can't bear to even look at her saggy, wrinkly skin." "But I want to marry my true mate and have his pups," Jessica sniffled. "Aww, sweetheart," he cooed. "Even I wanted to marry my true mate, but I had to reject her because she was an omega and I wouldn't be an alpha today if I didn't." "You're sick," Jessica spat, trying to get out of his clutches. "I may be sick, young Jessica, but I'm also your alpha and what I command you to do you will do or else my wolf will have to eat you," his voice got heavy as he spoke in his alpha's tone. He circled his hands around her waist and pressed his nose to the back of her head. He took an enormous breath, filling his lungs with the scent of her hair. "You know, you not only look like her, but you also smell like her." "Who?" Jessica wondered. "My mate, silly girl. You look and smell just like her," he hummed, pressing her body firmer on his lap. Jessica could feel his massive hard-on. Before Jessica could utter a word, the door burst open. "Conroy, I need to have a word with yo ..." Luna Magda choked on her words and halted. Jessica didn't need her wolf to sense the Luna's fury. With eyes darker than the hour of midnight, Magda displayed canines that sharpened to fierce points. "What the fuck is going on in here?" Magda yelled. She marched over to the couple and grabbed the omega by her neck, pulling her off the alpha's lap. "Get your filthy ass off my husband, you little bitch!" With all her strength, Magda hurled Jessica into the wall, cracking the wooden panels. Jessica's screams could be heard by everyone with a wolf residing in the pack-house. She fell to the ground, her mouth and nose covered in blood. Magda stalked up to her, her talons out. She raised her palm ready to slice into the little omega's neck, when the alpha held her hand and stopped her. "That's enough, Magda!" "Let me go, Conroy!" Magda cried. "I won't be disrespected like this. Not again." Jessica curled up on the floor, sobbing silently with her hands protecting her head. She wondered what the Luna meant by she won't be disrespected again. "Pull yourself together, Magda," Alpha Conroy pushed her away from Jessica. "This woman-scorned-thing of yours was cute when you were younger, but now it's getting old, like you." "I regretted the day I agreed to marry you," she spat. "Just be grateful that you gave me a son and two daughters or else your head would be on a spike outside." "I hate you, Conroy Graceland. I hate you so much." "No you don't. You love me," he mocked her. "You love me so much that you changed your family pack's name to Graceland Pack. You love me so much that you orchestrated to have my true mate and her second chance mate killed because you feared I was gonna leave you for her."Magda's face went pale. “Wh-who told you?” She gulped, terrified that her husband was going to kill her now. She thought she had everyone involved taken care of. No one was supposed to know that it was her and not hunters who killed Jessica's parents. "No one had to tell me. I knew the moment I heard Steven and Lisa were murdered,” Conroy admitted. “It took everything in me not to skin you alive back then.” Hearing her parents' names made Jessica lift her head as she tuned into the discussion between the alpha and Luna. “I saw how you looked at her, Conroy. She was beautiful and young,” Magda scoffed. “When I found out she was your true mate, I despised her.” “But I rejected her to be with you,” Conroy explained. “She found a second chance mate in that farmer.” Jessica was there in shock. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. “Oh please, you only married me for my father’s pack. I knew this back then, but I thought after being with me, you would at least grow to lik
In a state of turmoil, Jessica fled from the alpha's office. She didn't care if she looked a mess, with blood staining her face. She needed to find Cory and tell him he had to admit to his parents that she was his mate and that he wished to be with her. Before she made it to the corridor that would take her to her mate's room, the two younger girls with red hair and brown eyes intercepted her. One caught her by her hand and the other grabbed her by the hair. "Look, sister. It's the slave girl," Margarita laughed. Her red hair was curly like that Disney princess, Merida. Her brown eyes were dark with specks of green in them. "I see that, sis. What is the little omega doing running around our house like this? She knows better than to be seen in this part of the building," Margret pulled harder on Jessica's hair, causing her to wince. "Oh, she's got a busted lip, and a bloodied nose," she noted as she bent back Jessica's head so she could look on her face. Margret's red hair w
Jessica lacked the strength to continue her search for Cory. He must have been out for a run because he wasn't in his chambers or training in the fields. The small omega girl went back to the barn and used a bucket to draw water from the well. It was difficult and painful since her left rib was bruised and broken. She stripped naked, and stood behind the shed where she previously placed the bucket of water, then she used the fragments of crushed soaps she gathered while cleaning the bathrooms in the pack-house to take a quick bath, making sure to wash herself thoroughly. She didn't need another werewolf to smell that she had lost her virginity, even though it was to her mate. It was still embarrassing. All she longed for was to be with Cory and have him hold her in his arms. Once she completed her bath, she entered the barn and searched through the box containing her few pieces of clothing. Most of them were old and tattered clothes that other omegas threw away. Jessica
The day of the ball arrived, but Jessica was feeling a bit under the weather. She was having fainting spells and an upset stomach. She kept vomitting out all the meals she had ingested. Yes, she wasn't a stranger to illnesses, but she thought since the beatings had stopped, and she had access to a little more food she would be getting stronger instead of feeling like complete crap, so she took a trip to the pack hospital to do a routine checkup. She entered the hospital, trying to ignore the pain in her body. This wasn't like her. She had been sick before but not like this. She couldn't pinpoint the cause of it. The white corridors and smell of ammonia were driving her insane. "Let's just get this over with," she said to herself. ******** Half an hour later, the doctor was giving her the news of her test results. "Well Miss T
Evening descended quickly, and the moonlight added a serene beauty to the dark night. The ball was about to begin as the guests arrived one by one and sometimes two by twos. Jessica still hadn't seen Cory, so she figured he must have been down by the lake with his friends. She wanted to see him and tell him the wonderful news. Though she was nervous, She really believed that he would make everything better for her. Holding the front of her dress tightly, she dashed through the forest and headed to Blue Water Lake. She didn't care that her wounds still ached, or that she was getting muck all over the hem of her dress. Cory would still find her beautiful regardless of her fresh scar, courtesy of his mother and the mud stains on her dress. She continued on her journey. She had only been down by the lake once, and it was a gorgeous sight. It's usually where teens from the pack sneak away to have sex. A blush crept up on Jessica's face when she imagined Cory taking her by th
THIRTEEN YEARS AGO With sweaty palms, Kanyon Coldblood waited for Eleanor to make her way to him. All the lycans within a thousand-mile radius gathered to witness the king's wedding to Princess Eleanor. The king's heart went into overdrive when his ears picked up the sound of the door opening. ‘She's here,’ his inner beast spoke excitedly. From the high podium of the chapel, they watched her walk in. With a stunning and magnificent smile, she grasped her bouquet and strolled down the aisle adorned with rose petals. In just a few minutes, they exchanged their vows and sealed it with a kiss as they became husband and wife. It was rare for a lycan to meet their true mate. Only the mightiest and most favoured lycans found mates, which is why King Kanyon Coldblood couldn't hide his happiness upon meeting his mate in Princess Eleanor Blackwood. The couple dedicated years to planning their wedding due to the wars and economy, but they didn’t care, it was worth the wait. Now
Jessica had no idea how she made it to the ball, but she managed to get there in one piece. Without even thinking about the child in her tummy, she grabbed a cup and loaded it with rum punch. She gulped it down, then she repeated the process around a dozen times. Finally she was drunk enough to have the courage to stir up a little drama. She crushed the plastic cup with her palm and then threw it to the ground. Nobody seemed to notice her even when she was wearing such muddied clothes. They were all grouped according to their ranks. The alphas and betas gathered in one corner, while the zetas and gammas positioned themselves in the center. The omegas were just there by the sideline looking like fish out of water. Jessica spotted the twins clinging to a very tall alpha's arms. He carried them toward the door that led to the backyard. Jessica knew what they were sneaking off to do. And they called her a slut for giving her virginity to her mate. Hypocrites, Jessica shook her head i
“But I'm your mate!” Jessica yelled. Luna Magda stumbled back and fell into her chair. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her son — mates to this dirty omega trash! No, this must be a prank. “Cory! Is this crazy bitch your mate?” Chrissy demanded. “Not for long,” Cory answered. “What do you mean, Cory?” Jessica urged with teary eyes. "I love you, and even after I saw you having sex with her down by the lake,” Jessica sobbed. “I’m still willing to forgive you. We can work this out. Please — don't leave me and your child. We need you.” Jessica pleaded with desperate breath. She didn’t think she could survive without him. “Is what I'm hearing true?” A powerful voice came from the sideline. “Did you bed my daughter?” Chrissy's father asked, and Cory lowered his head to the ground. “Then I don't care if this weak omega is your mate. You will do right by my daughter.” “Yes, sir. That's what I plan on doing,” Cory flexed his muscled. “Stand her up,” he ordered and two
“Forgive me for what I am about to say,”Lily blew out a breath as she stared at the woman in front of her who was asking her to perform a forbidden spell. “Are you out of your freaking mind, Your Majesty?” she yelped. She was shocked by what the queen was proposing. “That's some serious dark magic, Queen Jessica.”“I know, but maybe if you teach me how to do it like how you've been helping me with spirit summoning, then maybe you won't have to get involved,” Jessica pleaded her case. “You are smart enough to know only a mage or a witch can cast such a spell, so there's no way I'm letting you do that. And what if you died? The king would have my head and then maybe my sisters’ heads as well,” Lily scoffed. “You're not letting me do this?” Jessica snickered at the mage as she repeated her words. "If I command you to do it, then you will do as I say. Am I not your queen?"“Of course, but —,”"Then it's settled. You will gather the ingredients for this spell and I will stall Kanyon and
The mysterious foe spoke softly. "Give me the child, and I'll let you live.""No! You can't have my grandson," Daniel answered. "Very well then. I guess you won't live to see another day." King Kanyon and Ariel understood the impending danger, but as they hurried towards Daniel, a purple mist enveloped them, obscuring their vision and dulling their senses. Before the elders managed to secure her wrists, Priestess Constance opened her eyes. Her cackles now sounded like nails on a chalkboard. Her eerie, haunting voice sang out like a dying canary. The elders had to place their palms over their ears to stop their heads from exploding. Hearing her husband's sorrowful wails, Ariel screamed out in fury. The wicked man thrust his arm into Alpha Daniel's chest, tearing out his heart. The alpha dropped to his knees and, even with the huge hole in his chest, his fingers held firmly onto the baby in his arms. As her husband took his final breath, Ariel sensed a burning ache in her heart f
The sky got dark as grey clouds came out of nowhere, blocking the view of the sun. Just a small stream of golden sentinel illuminated the clearing, where the air crackled with tension. Kanyon experienced a surge of adrenaline as his heart pounded in his chest like a war drum. His eyes shot to his people, who were running and scrambling to get to safety. The King was still knelt by Anna's side as his eyes watched the two creatures circling the priestess, their muscles coiling beneath matted fur.Kanyon almost couldn't keep up with her fast moves. And her movements were lethal alright. She was ripping through his guards like they were paper. In a split second, she tore the two beasts' heads off. With blood dripping from her fingertips, she turned to face the king. "Let me go King Kanyon or I will kill my way out of here," she cackled. "You know only you and maybe a few members of the council have the strength to stop me. So if you will not fight me, then call off your men, or you ar
'Kanyon. We have to get down there and help her!' Sinbad roared inside Kanyon's head. The smell that was radiating from Anna as she shifted reminded the onlookers of the gutters down in the sewers. Kanyon leaped off the balcony, using his castle flags to glide down to the ground. He made his way down seamlessly, while the crowd parted to give him access to Anna. No one dared to touch her as her flesh sizzled like smoke from burning fire. Nurse Brown was slumped over in one corner, unable to watch the she-wolf suffer. This was unnatural. Her skin seemed like it was doused in acid as it melted off her bones. "Annabella, what have you done?" Kanyon whispered. He refrained from touching her too. Anna knew it was forbidden to transform so soon after giving birth. Kanyon had witnessed she-Lycans dying because of doing just that. But this was different, something evil was in play here. "After everything I did," Anna screamed through her painful transition. "Aaaaahhhhh!" She wailed, twis
Hello, guys. Sorry for missing my updates yesterday and the day before, but I’ve been under the weather for almost a week now. I contracted the Influenza A virus. While the fever and headache is manageable, I can’t seem to keep anything inside my stomach. I’m throwing up and I have a severe case of diarrhea. Luckily I was only admitted to the hospital for a day while they tried to get my body back to a hydrated state. I am alone at home now since my husband is away for business. I’m waiting on my friend to stop by with some chicken soup. But If I feel better today, I will update a chapter or two. But my eyes literally hurt staring at my computer screen for too long so I might wait until the morning. But you don’t have to worry, I am going to finish the story with a bang. And please don’t hate me for what will be coming in the next few chapters. I have some sad news to reveal in the coming chapters. So hang tight. Thank you guys for your support. I hope you are staying safe out ther
"Are you nervous, my love?" Kanyon asked as he watched Jessica fix her earring in her ear. "Are you kidding? I'm thrilled! I've never been this happy in my life," she beamed. “Hearing you say that puts a smile on my face. Are you sure there isn't anything else I can do to make this day even more special?""No there isn't. Everything is perfect." "Alright," Kanyon sighed. "I'm going to have to return what I got you then.”"You got me something?" "Of course, but I'm afraid the surprises were too big to wrap.""Surprises?" Jessica wondered where he had time to go shopping since the last three days had been super hectic for everyone. The triplets and Anna’s baby were a handful. "Mamaaaaaaa!" Ariel's voice rang out as she burst through the door. She dashed over to Jessica and wrapped her in a huge bear hug. "Look at you. Childbirth has been good to you. Look at those boobies.""Wh - what are you doing here? I just spoke to you, and you said you were at the Warmblood pack,” Jessica let
The next day, people travelled in scores from near and far to gather in the castle's courtyard to get a glimpse of their future king. News of the birth of the heir spread like Hollywood gossip throughout the kingdom.Jessica was feeling much better. She was on the phone with Ariel, who had also given birth to a son a week earlier. "It's chaos over here, cous," Jessica sighed. "There are hundreds of people out in the courtyard waiting to see KJ.""I can only imagine. So where's Kanyon?" Ariel asked. "He's having a meeting with the council members right now to tell them I am the one who produced the heir and not that bitch, Annabella," Jessica hissed. "What did that bitch say when she found out her son is not the heir?""She doesn't know as yet. She's been sleeping since she gave birth yesterday," Jessica said. "I'm just glad my son is the heir and not hers, but I still won't interfere with how Kanyon chooses to take care of him. That baby is as much his as my children are.""True,"
After the storm, the morning unfolded with a sense of calm and peace. King Kanyon held his wife firmly in his arms as he carried her back to the castle while Lucy cradled the young prince in her arms and Master Cameron wrapped his arms around the cooing princesses. "I'm so tired!" Jessica muttered against Kanyon's neck. "I know, my love. We are almost home. I'll take you to the hospital so you and our children can get checked out, and then I'll take you back to the room," Kanyon responded. "But - but the nursery only has two cribs and two of everything else," Jessica complained. "I need to get some stuff for our son.""Shh. No need to stress, I'll arrange for one of everything to be at the nursery before the day ends. Just concentrate on getting your rest." Kanyon kissed her head. The guards at the East gates were on standby for them. The king used his mindlink to clue them in on which gates he'd be arriving at. As soon as they arrived, the guards bowed before letting them in. Th
Kanyan took his shirt off to wrap his daughter in and then carefully laid the baby down. Jessica was still in agony as Lucy screamed at her, telling her to push. "I can't do this," Jessica sobbed. "I'm too tired." Her head felt light, and her muscles seemed like they were on fire. "Sure you can." Kanyon held her hand. "You're one of the strongest women I've ever met. Now push so we can meet our other baby.""OK. OK," she sniffled. Lucy was in position. "Come on, Jessica. You can do this."Jessica set aside the pain and concentrated on the adorable sounds coming from her daughter, and soon she found the energy she needed to keep going. She screamed loudly, teeth clenched tight while her body did its thing. "That's it. You're doing great, mama," Lucy commented. "I see a head. Keep pushing!""Only a few more minutes, Jess, and then this will all be over," Kanyon chimed in. Lucy's eyes widened as the second baby slid into her hands. This one cries were also powerful. Kanyon took th
