Catherine woke up to the noise of the birds, it didn't sound like they were playing, it sounded like a bad omen. The pillow she placed on her head to block the noise wasn't working. She cursed under her breath while she was forced to sleep.

***

"My lady". She was able to hear her maid who shouted at the top of her voice.

She has barely closed her eyes and now this, she snubbed the maid who had started pounding at her door.

"My lady please open up".

Catherine angrily stood, she had decided to give Eden the beating of her life for being callous.

"What the?"

"Your father my lady, he all of a sudden stopped breathing".

At the sound of her father, her heart skipped, she had just escalated things.

"Take me to him". Catherine perceived something strange, Eden had stopped looking at her and wouldn't take her to see her father.

"Eden speak up". Catherine shouted as she tried to control herself, Eden had taken a step backward with the feeling Catherine might hit her.

"Sir Alex warned me not to allow you close to him".

"What do you mean?" Catherine stood dumbfounded as she watched in bewilderment what Eden had said. With anger, she pushed Eden aside and ignored her while she called her name. This is her pack and she had the right to know what was going on.

"My lady, you have to listen to me".

She heard Eden's voice begin to fade while she increased her pace, she suspected they had taken her father to his room.

"Get out of my way". She shouted at the guards angrily.

"Sorry ma, but you have to get back to your work".

"How dare you talk back at me? Step aside or you won't like what my next action would be". The anger in her had now gone beyond her control as his claws grew and came out.

"My lady, we have to get you to your room".

"No". Catherine turned around with her hands raised she pushed Eden against the wall, she went unconscious almost immediately.

"Get out of my way".

The guards though looked confused, stood their ground, they were given instructions.

"We were asked not to let you in my lady". One of the guards explained, his eyes had been fixed on Eden who lay quietly on the ground.

Just then Alex came out as sweat protruded from his face.

"What is going on?" He looked around and then noticed Catherine as she stood before them, her claws out and her eyes had changed color to red.

"I demand to see my father".

"He doesn't want to see you, you caused his condition".

"How do you mean? I left him perfectly alright".

"No, you didn't and his condition might escalate if you take a step closer". He indirectly warned her.

"You won't stop me, Alex". She angrily raised her hand to push him aside but was surprised he had blocked it.

"Don't push me, Catherine, I gave you chances but you're so a fool of yourself".

"I won't take this insult from you Alex". She raised her hand to hit him but was surprised as he held her hand and pushed her backward with his other hand.

She had hit her back against the wall while she prevented her head from doing the same, the stern note in Alex's voice meant nothing to her, she thought to herself while she stood up.

"Take her to the darkroom". She heard Alex instruct the guards.

"You won't dare, I remain the Luna and there's nothing you can do about that". She shouted at the top of her voice.

"I'm sorry Catherine, but not anymore".

She wasn't sure if she had heard a chuckle in his voice but it sounded like he was happy with the decision he had made.

"Not a step closer". She warned the guards who were now on to her, then she realized she was now all alone, Alex had entered her father's room. She took some steps backward while she prepared herself to take on them both. She had pushed one down, she turned around to push the other but felt a blow on her face which caused her to stagger. Her eyes felt dizzy almost immediately, she held the wall to adjust herself but felt it wasn't helping. She turned around as she tried to walk back to her room, and she sensed the guards were directly behind her. She needed to escape from them before they forcefully take her to the darkroom but she felt weak. She staggered back and fell to the ground and felt her feet and hands were unable to move.

"You should help me, I'll give you whatever you want". She mustered the courage to speak up but she could hear only herself.

"Let wrap her up". One of the guards said to the other.

Catherine consciously watched them, her eyes were opened as she saw everything. The dark room was worst than any punishment given with no windows, just a door, she had never been there but had sent most of her maids into it. It was located upstairs were one barely entered, most of them kept there had been forgotten.

"Please you don't have to do this". She noticed her strength were fading off as she tried to turn to her wolf side who gave her a silent treatment. She tried her possible best to struggle free from them, her feet and her hands betrayed her as they went stiff then she realized she had been given wolfsbane and her weakness was a result of it.

"Coward". She muttered to herself as she sighted Eden help the guards to lift her, Catherine felt helpless and embarrassed, she feared for her wolf side, wolfsbane is as deadly as a snake's venom.

"Drop her there". She heard one of the guards instruct the other, she couldn't get back at them, not now. An escape was the only way out and she knew she had to get a plan. The wolfsbane takes an hour to wear off, she knew she had no option but to wait till an hour elapsed.

"Please help". She said almost in a whisper while the maid reluctantly turned around to shut the door.

Catherine saw nothing anymore, her eyes were heavy, she had tried to fight off the wolfsbane, but it had taken control. She saw nothing as she gently closed her eyes, everywhere had gone completely blank including her thoughts.
