Nathan's POV

"What!" I exclaimed, my voice trembling with disbelief.

"There's no way we are going to grant Damian an audience; he's an abomination!" I began, my heart racing as the weight of the situation sank in.

And before I could even finish, Vincent chipped in, his voice rising in anger, his fists clenched at his sides.

"But an abomination wasn't the one that killed children, a full-blooded werewolf was the one that did it!" He paused, his eyes blazing with intensity as if daring anyone to go against what he just said.

"So there's no reason why we shouldn't grant Damian an audience, at least to listen to what he has to say. Maybe we can bring Aiden down with Damian," he continued, his tone shifting slightly as he tried to make his point clearer.

What's all this that Vincent is saying, he knows we can't grant Damian an audience, someone who has declined our invite many times.

Plus I always knew that bastard wasn't dead, he could fool everyone but he couldn't fool me.

"Damian is alive and he is coming for me!""And the orders already know," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. The weight of the news pressed down on me, and I could feel a cold sweat forming on my brow. She hissed, her voice low and urgent, "Oh, don't mind Nathan. He's just bluffing. The orders have no resources strong enough to come at you." She leaned in closer, her eyes serious. "The only person we have to worry about right now is Damian because he has people and resources to do that.""That bastard should have stayed dead" she muttered under her breath. She tried to assure me, but I didn't need all those reassurances. My mind was racing, focused solely on winning this war."Okay, but is our army enough to take on Damian?" I asked, my voice laced with concern, a faint glimmer of fear creeping in. Damian's POV“We are here” the driver announced as soon as we got to the location of the meeting, the car stopped, and I got down, and I scanned the surroundings, looking for any sign of trouble. I came prepared with my men in case the orders wanted to prove themselves and do anything stupid. But when we got to the entrance, I gestured for the other men to stay outside while I went in with Clinton. As we were about to enter, a guard tried to stop Clinton, using his hand to block his way. I shot him a deadly stare, my hand clenched in fits as I silently conveyed the message that any interference would not be tolerated. In an instant the guard got the message, he removed his hand and let Clinton in.And as soon as we entered, Nathan, Hade, Delilah, and Vincent were already seated."You can sit over here," Hade offered me a spot as I walked in, gesturing toward an empty chair at the table.I just looked at the chair and shook my head. "I'm not here to sit, what I came to say is brief a

NATHAN'S POV Everywhere is rowdy, every body is only concerned with giving their opinions. The order is having another meeting, Damian is not present and unfortunately, he is the topic."Why do you think he can be trusted? What great thing has he done to earn your trust?", Delilah blurted out, hitting the nail on the head while everyone was beating the bush."Do you think he can be trusted?", she finally asked, after a moment of quiet, directing the question to Vincent."No, absolutely not and that is a fact", I answered, Delilah started nodding in approval."And why is that?", Vincent asked, his voice full of steely conviction, " he didn't kill the children, he didn't kidnap them. He didn't do anything he was accused of, so why can't he be trusted?".I frowned, replying " Because he is a terrible person. He doesn't have to do everything you just mentioned before you know that he is not to be trusted.Plus he lied about his death…he is not truthful so ignore whatever bullshit tale he

It was a big mess, disoriented our meeting", Vincent retold the story.“And am I wrong if I guessed that it was the big bad wolf, Aiden?", I asked, already aware of the answer.“No, you are not wrong. Aiden was behind the bombing and he said, listen, that it was his reply to the order's threat. It was all just amusing, the little boy has grown some balls", he answered and I chuckled." Now that I am thinking about it, it is quite surprising that Aiden replied this way. I wasn't expecting a show from a coward, this doesn't look like his plan, it is too bold and Aiden is not bold”, I said." I understand what you were trying to say, no one was expecting a response from him especially not one this flashy. This is quite too much for his poor small bra

DAMIAN'S POV“Master, there is something you need to see”, Clinton said when he came into my office. I looked up at him, perceiving the guarded urgency in his demeanor. So, I got up immediately without asking any further questions and left with him. We both walked out of my house, although it was more of him stopping himself from running than walking. We kept on walking until we left the estate, my curiosity was already piqued, forcing me to ask “Why are we leaving the estate?”“Because master, what you need to see is outside the estate”, he replied and continued walking. After a few more steps, I saw a few more guards, clustered together, all looking toward something.I got closer to them and when they noticed me, they turned to look at me while creating a path for me. I passed through and finally got to see what had gotten their attention, it was a food/gift basket.I looked back at the faces of my men, looking longer at Clinton before asking, “What is in this basket?”.Few of them

Only a fool will laugh when he is being berated for destroying his own life", I replied my breath shortening, anger filling up."I did not destroy my life, don't ever say that to me or I would destroy yours', he barked, every hint of humor gone from his voice."Why would you attack and

LEAH'S POVSix months had passed. A lot had changed, and yet, some things remained the same. Life had found its way back into a semblance of balance. The house Delilah had destroyed, the one that had once been my sanctuary, had been rebuilt. Stronger. More beautiful. Every corner of it now seemed to hold new memories, new beginnings. The order that had been disrupted, the chaos that had once engulfed us, was now settling into a rhythm. Things were finally coming together.Damian had come so far in his healing, both physically and emotionally. Each day, I saw him growing stronger, more like the man he was before the war, before everything. He had taken on the responsibility of being the head of the hybrids, and with that came a weight that I knew he carried heavily. But he bore it with grace. His training had become more intense, more focused. I could see the fire in his eyes, the determination to protect our family, to protect everything we had worked so hard for.And the way, he

I blinked slowly, my vision swimming as I tried to make sense of my surroundings. White walls. The steady beeping of machines. A faint antiseptic smell. Where was I?My mind felt clouded like a thick fog had settled over it, obscuring everything I needed to grasp. Panic threatened to rise, but before I could gather my thoughts, I heard hurried footsteps. The sound grew louder, then closer—someone was running toward me.Before I could react, a body collided with mine with force, wrapping me in a tight, trembling embrace. LEAH'S POV"Please," I whispered, my voice trembling, eyes wide with desperation. "Repeat what you just said."The doctor, hesitant but resolute, cleared his throat. "Your children's blood," he began slowly, his tone deliberate, "it might be the only way to save Damian. Their blood has unique properties that could help them heal. They are hybrids, the only ones of their kind. It's uncharted territory, but—""No." my voice was sharp, slicing through the doctor's explanation. The doctor faltered. "What?""No," I repeated, my tone steadier this time, though my body shook. "I won't do it. I won't use their blood."The doctor's face crumpled in confusion. " Miss Leah, this is Damian's life we're talking about. Don't you want him to live?"Tears welled up in my eyes, but my resolve held firm. "Of course I do. I want Damian alive more than anything. But I've seen what that blood does. It doesn't heal. It doesn't bring people back to life in the way you think. It changes them—turns them into

  • THE REJECT HYBRID AND HIS LUNA   Chapter 157 THE PAIN EVOLVES

LEAH'S POVIt had been a month. Thirty long days since I'd given birth to our twins. Thirty long days since Damian had slipped into a coma. Thirty long days since Damian was brought back almost dead into this pack. The air in the room where he lay was heavy with the scent of antiseptic, and the low hum of machines filled the silence. I sat beside his bed as I had every day since the battle. My babies were safe at home, cared for by a trusted nurse, while I spent hours here, speaking to Damian as though he could hear me."They're growing so fast, you know," I said softly, my fingers brushing against his cold hand. "Our babies. They've got your nose. Both of them. And the way they look at me... sometimes, it feels like they know something I don't."I leaned back in the chair, staring at his still form. "I haven't named them yet," I admitted, my voice catching in my throat. "How could I? We said we'd do it together. The few people we know keep asking me what I'll call them, and I don't h

The sterile scent of the room hit me next, and for a moment, I didn't understand why I was there. Then it all came rushing back. The complications. The delivery. The pain that had consumed me until everything went black.I tried to sit up, but my body protested, and I fell back against the pillows with a groan. My hand instinctively moved to my stomach, now flat and empty. Panic surged through me as I scanned the room. There was no sound of crying, no crib, no sign of the babies I had fought so hard to bring into this world."Where... where are my babies?" I raised my voice barely a whisper. One of my maids appeared by my side, her smile warm but cautious. "Calm down, miss. Your babies are safe.""Safe?" I repeated, my voice trembling.
