DAMIAN'S POV

“Master, there is something you need to see”, Clinton said when he came into my office. I looked up at him, perceiving the guarded urgency in his demeanor.

So, I got up immediately without asking any further questions and left with him. We both walked out of my house, although it was more of him stopping himself from running than walking.

We kept on walking until we left the estate, my curiosity was already piqued, forcing me to ask “Why are we leaving the estate?”

“Because master, what you need to see is outside the estate”, he replied and continued walking. After a few more steps, I saw a few more guards, clustered together, all looking toward something.

I got closer to them and when they noticed me, they turned to look at me while creating a path for me. I passed through and finally got to see what had gotten their attention, it was a food/gift basket.

I looked back at the faces of my men, looking longer at Clinton before asking, “What is in this basket?”.

They were your allies, your men, for fuck sake", I yelled into the phone, my frustrations growing as Aiden chuckled."Why are you chuckling? Do I sound funny? Am I funny? Is anything funny anymore? Have you lost touch with what is supposed to be funny these days?", I threw questions at him as his chuckles continued"Nathan, why are you shitting your pants over what I laugh about? It's not that big of a deal. Stop being an old fart", Aiden popped out, between annoying chuckles."Aiden, you are a fool, you are a certified fool for only a fool will laugh when they kill people that were willing to fight alongside them. Only a fool will laugh when he is being berated for destroying his own life", I replied my breath shortening, anger filling up."I did not destroy my life, don't ever say that to me or I would destroy yours', he barked, every hint of humor gone from his voice."Why would you attack and

Leah's POVI sat on the cold floor In the dimly lit room, my eyes darting around, taking in every shadow and flicker of light. The walls felt like they were closing in on me, and the faint sound of distant footsteps echoed outside, a constant reminder that I was held hostage. It was as if the very air around me was thick with tension, each creak of the floorboards outside sending a jolt of anxiety through me.As I leaned against the wall, my mind drifted back to the moments when I had attempted escape. I recalled how determined I was, the way I had mapped out my plan with a fierce resolve. I could almost hear my whispers of hope, mingled with the fear of failure."Would I have made it if the guards hadn't been so vigilant?" I asked myself.I remembered the very first time, adrenaline coursing through my veins as I spotted an open window. Heart racing, I climbed onto the ledge, feeling the rush of hope surge within me. But then, a sudden noise made me freeze, my body rigid with fear

Leah's POVBut giving up wasn't even an option I would rather perish in my pursuit of escape than remain a mere subject in that cold, sterile lab. So I pressed on, my feet pounding against the ground as I raced down the hills, leaping with a confidence that suggested I was familiar with this place.Once I reached the bottom, the sight before me was a sprawling, dense forest. Without hesitating at all, I ran into the thicket, propelled by my desperation for freedom. My heart raced as I darted through the trees, scanning my surroundings for any sign of a path, driven by an overwhelming desperation for freedom.I ran and ran, each step stretching into what felt like an eternity, yet the exit of the forest remained elusive. As time passed, my legs began to weaken, my entire body protesting against the relentless pace. It felt as though an unseen force was holding me back as if the wind was the one pushing me. Yet, amidst the exhaustion, my determination surged forth, guiding me. It wa

Leah's POVLucy!!!!Immediately, I saw that it was Lucy, and a wave of panic surged through me. I turned, ready to run back into the safety of the forest, but as I spun around, I saw Lucy standing right in front of me. My heart raced, and I was gripped by fear. It was as if the ground should open and swallow me, because there was no way I would let her take me back to the house, not after I had attempted to escape many other times and failed, so this once that I had the opportunity to even step out of the house I was ready to fight for my freedom. With adrenaline coursing through my veins, I charged at her with all the energy I could muster, but in a split second, she had sidestepped me. And I stumbled, losing my balance, and fell to the ground. As I lay there, breathless and disoriented, I could hear her voice behind me, calm and taunting, cutting through the chaos of my thoughts which made me more annoyed."Stand up now! Damian's POVI had finally regained my sanity, but the anger boiling inside me was overwhelming. I wanted to attack immediately. The thought of Aiden possibly inflicting more harm on Leah was unbearable, and I couldn't stand the idea of her suffering any longer. The more she suffered the more I was in pain, her pain was my pain, and I still recalled the moment I unwrapped that gift box, enduring my hurt just to experience a fleeting moment of joy.I was In the meeting hall, with the orders, and I realized how important it was for us to strategize effectively. There was no room for mistakes; this was about more than just taking Aiden down. It was a fight for Leah's life, for the woman I loved. The stakes were high, and I needed to ensure that our plan was flawless, because failure was not an option. The plan was for Hade to perform a locator spell on Leah, giving us the critical information we needed to find her."How far have you gone on the locator spell?" I asked, locking eyes wit

Damian's POVI and my men were already at the war location, but we didn't join the others, we were tucked away in a corner, biding our time, the air thick with tension. The atmosphere was charged, and each of us was aware of what was at stake. We had a plan, a carefully crafted strategy that hinged on timing and precision. The plan was simple yet dangerous: the orders' men would engage Aiden's crew first. It was a calculated move, designed to make Aiden believe he had the upper hand, and that victory was within his grasp. Little did he know, we were lying in wait, ready to strike when he least expected it. My heart raced as I thought about the chaos that was about to unfold; we were poised to turn the tide in our favor, but the weight of uncertainty loomed over us."Would it work?" I asked myself, not because I wasn't sure of myself or I was scared but because I couldn't afford to make any mistake. But then I realized that only time would tell.Just then Nathan raised his hand, sign

The witches are backing out, it seems Hades has given the order for their leave.*Throws spits*Cowards!!! The war was already going to favor us, and they chose to leave. DAMIAN'S POVI watched the man run off towards Nathan and in minutes, had a gun pressed to the head of the poor, fear-stricken man.Nice move, Aiden. I commend him for his continuous dubious thoughts, now I can't attack him because I don't want Nathan to be shot, I still want him alive seeing as he is Leah's dad and she will be disappointed in me if I fail to keep her dad alive.I started taking slow steps towards Aiden and his hostage, gauging his movement, careful not to make any reckless move seeing as there was madness in his eyes The war is slowly ending as most of Aiden's men has stopped fighting after seeing me beat the ass out of their leader. LEAH'S POVSix months had passed. A lot had changed, and yet, some things remained the same. Life had found its way back into a semblance of balance. The house Delilah had destroyed, the one that had once been my sanctuary, had been rebuilt. Stronger. More beautiful. Every corner of it now seemed to hold new memories, new beginnings. The order that had been disrupted, the chaos that had once engulfed us, was now settling into a rhythm. Things were finally coming together.Damian had come so far in his healing, both physically and emotionally. Each day, I saw him growing stronger, more like the man he was before the war, before everything. He had taken on the responsibility of being the head of the hybrids, and with that came a weight that I knew he carried heavily. But he bore it with grace. His training had become more intense, more focused. I could see the fire in his eyes, the determination to protect our family, to protect everything we had worked so hard for.And the way, he

I blinked slowly, my vision swimming as I tried to make sense of my surroundings. White walls. The steady beeping of machines. A faint antiseptic smell. Where was I?My mind felt clouded like a thick fog had settled over it, obscuring everything I needed to grasp. Panic threatened to rise, but before I could gather my thoughts, I heard hurried footsteps. The sound grew louder, then closer—someone was running toward me.Before I could react, a body collided with mine with force, wrapping me in a tight, trembling embrace. The moment her scent hit me, everything stilled.Leah.I knew her before my eyes fully adjusted before my arms instinctively rose to wrap around her. "Your children's blood," he began slowly, his tone deliberate, "it might be the only way to save Damian. Their blood has unique properties that could help them heal. They are hybrids, the only ones of their kind. It's uncharted territory, but—""No." my voice was sharp, slicing through the doctor's explanation. The doctor faltered. "What?""No," I repeated, my tone steadier this time, though my body shook. "I won't do it. I won't use their blood."The doctor's face crumpled in confusion. " Miss Leah, this is Damian's life we're talking about. Don't you want him to live?"Tears welled up in my eyes, but my resolve held firm. "Of course I do. I want Damian alive more than anything. But I've seen what that blood does. It doesn't heal. It doesn't bring people back to life in the way you think. It changes them—turns them into

  • THE REJECT HYBRID AND HIS LUNA   Chapter 157 THE PAIN EVOLVES

LEAH'S POVIt had been a month. Thirty long days since I'd given birth to our twins. Thirty long days since Damian had slipped into a coma. Thirty long days since Damian was brought back almost dead into this pack. The air in the room where he lay was heavy with the scent of antiseptic, and the low hum of machines filled the silence. I sat beside his bed as I had every day since the battle. My babies were safe at home, cared for by a trusted nurse, while I spent hours here, speaking to Damian as though he could hear me."They're growing so fast, you know," I said softly, my fingers brushing against his cold hand. "Our babies. They've got your nose. Both of them. And the way they look at me... sometimes, it feels like they know something I don't."I leaned back in the chair, staring at his still form. "I haven't named them yet," I admitted, my voice catching in my throat. "How could I? We said we'd do it together. The few people we know keep asking me what I'll call them, and I don't h

The sterile scent of the room hit me next, and for a moment, I didn't understand why I was there. Then it all came rushing back. The complications. The delivery. The pain that had consumed me until everything went black.I tried to sit up, but my body protested, and I fell back against the pillows with a groan. My hand instinctively moved to my stomach, now flat and empty. Panic surged through me as I scanned the room. There was no sound of crying, no crib, no sign of the babies I had fought so hard to bring into this world."Where... where are my babies?" I raised my voice barely a whisper. One of my maids appeared by my side, her smile warm but cautious. "Calm down, miss. Your babies are safe.""Safe?" I repeated, my voice trembling.
