Chapter 042 CONFRONTATION AND LIES

Nathan's POV

I was incensed, my fury simmering just below the surface. "What right do you have to send vampires to attack Damian without consulting me or the rest of the orders!" I thundered, my voice echoing off the walls as my anger boiled over.

If Damian himself had not called to threaten me, I wouldn't have known anything about the attack.

Delilah disregarded the protocol, and decided on her own without letting any member of the orders know about it, utterly disregarded the chain of command.

"I took matters into my own hands because the orders were being spineless and indecisive," Delilah retorted, her voice dripping with defiance, her eyes flashing with a fierce determination.

"I'm sick of them cowering in fear just because it's Damian. Let's not forget, he is a monster who slaughtered innocent children, for crying out loud! So whatever he gets, he deserves it, and even more" She shot back.
