Chapter two

Trying to balance the tray on her hand, Nora reaches for her phone, which was vibrating rather too much in the pocket of her apron.

"Hello!!" she said as she was able to finally answer the phone, as she walked back to the counter of a bar she worked at,in fanwood New Jersey,not far from New York City.

"I thought you said his food was on the table?"her roommate Brenda yelled over the phone,

"Yes it is,I left it there this morning"Nora replied not wanting to shout she went into the break room and sat down on the only chair there,"selfish bastard" she whispered slowly as she cursed at the owner of the bar who still refused to change the chair, thank God he wasn't around or she wouldn't be able to make this call in peace.

"There is nothing here!!,and he Wont stop crying..look I'm getting frustrated,why would you leave a hungry kid with me,is that the new strategy to beg for money?"

Nora felt the sting in her words which made her heart sink. She didn't think Brenda would say such even though she knew Brenda never did like her,or the fact that she had to take care of a child in the tiny space they shared.

Brenda was a beta,one that she wasn't sure if was dominant or recessive and never gives off pheromones,she was glad that at least it won't be a bother to her baby,her precious hungry baby.

If she hadn't gone in heat at that party four years ago, she wouldn't be caring for a child that will soon starve to death if she doesn't get her ass off work and head straight home

"I'd be home soon,just help me out,I have cereal in my room just help me give it to him for now please."

Nora begged Brenda who was shuffling around in her room stopped and let out a loud sigh,

"I don't hate you,I'm trying..and God help me I don't overdo it."

That was the last thing Nora heard before Brenda disconnected the call, not wanting to start the tears she knew she wouldn't cry finish even in the next seventy years.she stood up running her hands through her hair several times to compose herself she headed straight for the manager's office.

Manager Tom Willie a recessive alpha that gets too touchy with her at work,every chance he gets and uses it to perv her,he's a short man with bald head, moustache as ugly as table rag ,she still didn't understand why she had to endure all he does to her,and never wants to be in the same space as him ever.but this time she's doing it for her baby.

Opening the doors to his office without knocking she caught him with his hands down his pants as he tried to jerk off,on seeing her he hesitated to pull out his hands from his pants.

"The real thing came to see me finish off"

He said in his horrible voice,

'Gross' Nora thought but didn't say out loud.

"Uhh actually,I came to ask if I could go home early today .. it's urgent"

She said standing not taking a seat,Tom taking his hands from his pants, sat down properly before he responded"that kid of yours in trouble?"

"No,why would a four year old be in trouble?"

Nora asked staring at him with irritating written all over her face,

"I don't know,why do you need to go early if he's not in trouble?" He said as quickly as she answered him this time rising from his seat, Nora knew what was about to happen, usually she'd avoid this by leaving the room but she really needed him to let her leave early and keep her job.

"Please I could come back for extra shifts tomorrow" desperately wanting to leave the room she chipped in.

"Hmm..lets see how about accepting the mate proposal I gave,so you won't have to work or run home to your kid all the time..I said I'd take care of you guys,all you have to do is be mine! "

Tom rubbed her arms,thank God she wasn't wearing sleeveless today and her tee was so thick that she could barely feel his rotten dirty touch.

It creeped her out but she had to stay calm, at least this should be the last time she hoped she would need something like this from him.

The weekends were always the hardest when Carl her son didn't go to school,and she didn't have enough to hire a nanny for him, and work wouldn't let her stay with him,she never has time for her baby except Sundays which was tomorrow ,she doesn't want to come back here at all tomorrow but If that's the only way he'd let her go then fine.

"Tom,can we talk about this later..I really need to get going"

Sounding impatient, Nora decided to use another strategy to go about it, this time she rubbed his arms.

"Ewwww" she has never made any physical contact with him willing,so they fact that she did shocked tom who couldn't think with his brains anymore rather his dick swallowed loudly and said"yeah sure,no problem..uhh you can go, I'd see you Monday night"

Nora didn't understand what was happening and she didn't have time to think about it. Turning to leave the room Tom smacked her butt, getting furious she rushed out and headed to the counter to tell Joe, the only worker that she liked, that she was leaving.

At one point she thought she could get into a relationship with Joe because he was hot and he was also an alpha, but Joe was married with kids.

She always wanted his life "soon" 

"See you later Joe" she shouted from behind him as she went into the breakroom to get her things , coming outside of the room she met joe in front of the door"problems?"he asked curiously

"Nah, just need to get food for my baby"she smiled as she walked past him leaving the bar.
