CHAPTER SEVENTY THREE- Circles

I hear light stomping back and forth as I walk home, Yanna paced back and forth at the living room while playing with her fingers anxiously.

My brows furrow from her current state. “Hey….is something wrong?”

She jumps slightly in shock. “Yeah….actually, no I’m not.”

“Is it the baby, let me call the doctor.” I reach into my pocket for my phone but Yanna stops me.

She pulls me over to sit while she takes her sit beside me. “The baby’s fine.”

I scan her worried face. “So what’s wrong?....”

She bites her lip and lets out a heavy sigh. “I-i’m not Alonzo’s daughter.”

My brows furrow at her confession. What does he mean ‘she’s not Alonzo’s daughter’ there’s no way that’s possible, the test came back positive.

“That’s not possible…..where did you get this idea from?”

She reaches behind her and brings out a medical folder. “I went to confirm it myself, just to be one hundred percent sure that what I found out is true.”
