Freya's pov

in fear i shut my eyes. " please, I can't." I said as tears slowly fall from my eyes. " oh my god! the little omega is going to pee herself." I heard Fiona giggle with laughter.

But then I didn't hear anything again. I slowly opened my eyes to see where they all disappeared too. But a solemn voice made me shriek. " Are you alright? Did they hurt you?" the voice asked and I turned again.

I stood fixed as I stared at him. " Why is everyone in this school handsome? I can't believe I was craving for him also. I looked at the veins pumping his blood and I wanted a taste. I slowly imagine myself digging my fangs into his skin.

" Hello, are you listening to me?" The voice said again

" I am fine." I replied immediately. " can you walk?" he asked again and drew me up. But I wasn't convinced. " I am not going to hurt you. My name is Dylan." he said thrusting out his hand for a handshake. But I was now smart. I wasn't going to let down my guards anymore.

I grabbed my bagpack and bottle and ran out of the room like I had seen a ghost

I watched Dylan walk out looking at me as I took to my heels. Some of the students looked at me as I ran towards the school gate. It wasn't time to go home but I needed too. All I saw was read and I knew I could hurt someone. The thought of the student coming at me and calling me a vampire scared me.

But what am I?

That was something I needed to ask my mum. I was now a teenager and I was going to click twenty in just a few days. I was going to have my wolf and also pick a mate but why am I feeling the urge to feed? My eyes hurt and my canines are sharp.

I ran into the hallways down town breathing heavily. " What is happening to me?" I said sobbing

" I would give anything to be human." I said silently as tears dropped from my eyes. " Anything?" I heard a voice behind me. " Who are you?" I asked, lifting up my gaze

Tears slowly dropping from them. " You are asking the wrong question, child. The real question here is what are you?" the old woman asked back with an anxious gaze.

" Hmm, I can see you are always bullied among your peers. You which you could change your fate. Live a normal life but you are not meant to. You are far more destined for greater things. But your path is not smooth. You are going to." The woman stopped and I stared at her.

Her words were captivating and scary at the same time. " Who are you?" I slowly asked again but this time, I was forgetting my thirst, the hunger to feed. " You are of two great bloodline younglady. A bloodline that has never been in existence for a long time. You can decide to change the cursed fate." The old woman said again

" How? How can I become human?" I asked quicky

It was what I had always wanted. A simple life with my mate and some decent places I can call a home. " Can you make it stop?"

" Stop? You are never meant to stop child. You fear, I can see all of them and trust me it is the beginning." She said again. " I don't want to be a vamp. The thirst, the blood lust. Can you please help me?" I begged with tears as I knelt down before the strange woman. " There is nothing I can do except." the woman paused and looked into the skies like she could magically materialise a portion out of it. If she could,it would have been better but then she looked back at me and her eyes changed.

She looked epileptic as she crashed to the floor right in front of me vibrating like an electrocuted fish. " By this time tomorrow, your parents are going to be dead. Their blood would be sucked dry and you would be alone. Then if you want to be human you can come find me."

I looked at her and fear gripped me. " Why? What is going to happen to my parents? Who is going to have them killed? Can you please tell me something? I need to save them."

" I don't know when and where. This is all I can tell you." The old woman said again and gave me a bottle. " If you decide to become human then drink this. This portion is all it takes to grant you your heart desires." She dipped her hands in her bag and brought out a container.

Immediately I collected, she vanished into the thin air. I got shocked and ran home. As I ran, all my thoughts were about her prophecy. " What will happen to my parents tomorrow? Can I stop it?"

I looked at the portion I was holding. A portion that could give me another life. A life away from everything. A peaceful life without the craving and the expectancy of picking a mate. I quickly hid the portion in my bag as I got near the house by then I felt a strong aura. It wasn't my father's and neither was my mother.

" What is this?" I slowed down as I approached the front down to my house. I noticed the door was not locked, it was unusual of my parents to leave the door opened. I peeped in and I saw two male figures seated in front of my parents. I noticed both were emitting a strange aura.

Yes, I could feel it.

One was a vampire and the other one was an Alpha wolf. They shifted there attention towards me and my face went pale.

" Welcome." one of them said to me

Prologue Blackridge seemed like a normal, quiet town, but its secrets ran deep. Werewolves ruled here, living by strict traditions. Humans knew to stay out of their way, and talk of vampires was dismissed as silly myths. But for Freya Greyworm, those myths felt strangely real. Freya was born into the Greyworm family, one of the most respected wolf families in Blackridge. But unlike her family, Freya was different. While others transformed into strong wolves, she remained wolfless. In their world, this made her an Omega—weak, unwanted, and at the bottom of the pack. Her life was filled with shame and questions. Why hadn’t she shifted? Why did the dark feel comforting instead of frightening? And why did she crave the strange bottle her mother always told her to carry? The liquid inside wasn’t water. It was something else, something she didn’t understand but desperately needed as her Mother always made sure to have it packed in her lunch bagpack That thirst was her first clue.
