Gerald and I's bond continued to grow, and we couldn't keep our hands off each other. It was as if our love was blossoming along with all the flowers around us. So, when I started to feel sick every morning and nauseous every hour of the day, I didn't need a doctor or healer to tell me that I was pregnant. I was carrying a child inside of me and the first person I decided to tell was my sister. I called Joan and told her immediately and although I didn't like how she responded to my news and the reason why she told me that I must keep it an utmost secret until she returns from her travel.
