Chapter 10

Jenny's Pov**

Some parts of my hair already changed to an unusual color. I wouldn't want to say a thing because my myriad voice could get me noticed. It's like some other part of me wants to show up while I struggled really hard to avoid the trouble.

I knew I had a deal with Sebastian but I wouldn't let Alex die on my watch. The waiter was the nearest person to the door... So I gave her a signal to call for help. I didn't need help anyway, I just wanted her to leave so she wouldn't witness what was coming.

Angrily, I stood up from the ground and walked gently toward them. I couldn't believe how heartless they were that they didn't even realize Alex was unconscious. The twits got too carried away by the bully that they didn't see me coming..Till I held the crime lord by the neck and moved him up to lift his two feet above the ground.

"I asked you... to stop!!" I mumbled in dismay as my voice scolded him.

I forcefully flung him sideways and he lobbed his waist on the adjacent furniture.

His buddies cried out in fear when I fiercely veered around the next person.

He opened his mouth in an attempt to shout but he couldn't make any sound when I got too close.

Suddenly, a guy forced his way in.

"Hide".... that was Sebastian's first word.

I didn't think it was necessary in the first place but...

"Quickly" he added and looked sideways to cut the ties of our contacting eyes.

"Does he think it's my fault..?" I thought as I hurried into an open kitchen and bend to cover my face with a table. I squat down completely then I saw some remarkable men with guards.

They must be the royal families that Alex talked about.

A crowned beard man who was not too old and a young handsome guy whom I want to assume was a teen. The restaurant soon become crowdy when the guards rushed in. One of them came to my hiding place and took me out when they searched the whole restaurant like it was an order.

Favorably, I was back to normal before he saw me. I dragged my feet out as I make a naive face. The bad guys got frightened after seeing my face again.

"I demand a comprehension of what's going on here" The king yelled at us. Everyone in the building made a fearsome face. The King was confused and didn't know who was bullied. Sebastian moved forward and squat beside Alex.

"This is my friend sire, and I saw the four beat him to comma when I came in" he pointed them out before the king. Some guards rushed Alex to the nearest hospital for treatment.

"you know the weird thing..? Even the face of the ones who ganged up against a guy doesn't seem ok." the King suspected with a scowl.

Even then, the four of them were still lost in my sight with their mouth open before they remembered the king was still with them.

One of them pointed a finger at me and tried to say something but he was too late.

"I wouldn't need to ask any further questions,

You must be penalized" the king concluded and the guards hurriedly moved them forward to kneel before the king.

I was happy that it turned out that way before I heard that disappointing voice of his.

"I'll forgive them... My king"

I turned to see Sebastian with a serious grimace on my face. the fact that he was even smiling caused more disappointment.

"You'll.. What!?" I cried out

Immediately, I turned to the king to give a detailed reason why these guys really need to be punished.

"You know what.. These guys just showed up out of the blue and.." I paused immediately after a guard yielded a sword and points it at my throat.

"where are your manners? Aby. you don't have to question the leaders' decision ok?" I felt Seb's hand on my shoulder from behind.

"I'm sure Alex would do the same" he concluded

"You're kind-hearted Sebastian but everything isn't done that way, what if they've broken some of the rules that the law wouldn't want to forgive" the king raised his head and speaks.

He turned to the guys and asked them to appear in his palace and explain themselves after Alex get discharged.

"If you in a way disrespect the law, you'll be punished by the law".

They nodded and moved out to take off.

"I should talk some senses into them, sire" Seb followed them out.

Shortly, Everyone got out of the restaurant and they prepared their horses.

"You should go take care of your friend, I'll continue my journey from here," the king told Sebastian graciously as he climbed on his horse.

"No sire! I can't abandon my work now... she'll help" Sebastian climbed on a horse and bobbed at me. I set my eyes on his while he took off with the king. I continued to watch him till his horse extinct my sight.

"Does he even love his only human friend..?"

I thought in my mind because I still couldn't imagine everything he did.

I sighed and rushed to the hospital where Alex was taken. I quarreled with the nurses as they wouldn't allow me in.

They finally let me in after Alex regained consciousness. I stood still when I saw him on his bed. There were no tears but his swollen face was clear. His black suit was rough and his hair which was combed in the morning got scattered. He was in severe pain but he didn't act that way. I empathized with Alex sincerely even though I just met him. The trauma of childhood was already too much.

I walked toward him a bit, close enough that he could feel somebody's presence. He turned to look at me. I would've said sorry but I couldn't cope with the kind of look he gave. I would surely burst into tears if I tried.

I turned to go out after a while but I felt his little force as he held my gown and not letting go.

"Am sorry Ale..."

."Are you disappointed in me...?" he cuts in as he didn't allow me to offer my sympathy.

"No Alex... I mean why would I...?"

"Please stay with me..."
