---Miguel’s POV---

“What do you mean she collapsed?” I yelled as I entered the mansion. Lucy had already run up the stairs in search of her with Sarah hot of her heels. Most likely to guide her to the room that’s Meri in this place.

“Hello soul guide. It’s been a while!” came his voice. He never changes no matter what era we are in or what’s going on. King Davien Hawkyns, the true father of my soul partner and a walking nightmare if you cross him. He was seated on the couch across from the lobby in the dark seating room. The lights were off, and the curtains closed but the light from the fire was enough to bask him in a soft glow. which added to his overall dominating aura.

Though in truth it wasn’t the fire that caused his glow it was his own inner aura. In the sun or under the artificial lighting, his skin tone looks pale or almost off-white, but if you watch as he passes through shadows then you’ll see his inner light shining through his skin. It is one of the many reasons people f

---Merida’s POV---“Lu, s’il te plaît, bouge, mastodonte. Tu es lourd!” I said after a few minutes of laying here with her on my chest. When she didn’t make any moves, I started tickling her again, but she didn’t react, so I pinched her in the armpit. >She yelped as she rolled off me and slapped me in the chest as she asked, “Why did you do that?”“Je t'ai demandé de déménager! Merde, Lu!” I reiterated as I adjusted so I could roll onto my side and look at her. >Only I was surprised to hear her next statement, “Meri when are you going to stop speaking like that. I don’t understand what you are saying. Well not exactly as I know you and can guess what you are saying.”“Lu, de quoi tu parles?” I demanded of her as I sat up. >“See what I mean, something is wrong!” hearing Sarah’s voice I looked across the room to the door. Standing there is Miguel, Sarah, Theresa, E

At this little gesture everything in the room changed. Sarah, Lucy, and Miguel were questioning me about what happened to me and where I learned French and plus why did I think Miguel’s name was Mickeal.Davien and Ericson were at the door talking with Theresa and Steven, then Theresa sprinted out of the room as Steven walked back to me. But before he could get to my side, a gust of wind blew into the room, and I was being picked up and moved. I say move as the next thing I can see is another room and Crispin. Everything happened so fast that my head felt light-headed and woozy.“Just breath in and out. That’s it. I got you Meri!” Crispin said as he sat in front of me on the bed. “Can you tell me about the life, or the memory recall you just went through!”“Comment as-tu fait ça? Pourquoi as-tu fait ça? Qu’est-ce que le rappel de mémoire?” I asked one after the other as I continuously took breaths. I knew I needed to get handle all of this or I would get overwhelmed. “How did you d

---Sarah’s POV---“Ok Lucy this is our kitchen and our cook for the evening is…” I say then stop as I stare at our cook. I can’t believe who I’m seeing, it’s been years since I’ve seen him. “How was Oaxaca City RJ?” I asked before running over to him and jumping up to wrap myself around him so that I could somewhat give him a hug, given how huge he is. Which amounting to me hanging off his chest as I smiled up at him.“Hey Monkey, still hanging around I see! Oaxaca city was great but that was last month, I actually got back last week but you already left to come get our lost princess.” RJ laughed as he hugged me tight to him as he spun us around the kitchen. Everyone moved out of our way and before long we were in the dining room. Our laughter filled the room until I heard Lucy.“Who are you talking about? Who’s the lost princess?” Lucy asked.“Oh, hello there. Sorry Monkey distracted me earlier. I am Ericson Jr Solace, but everyone calls me RJ.” RJ detangles me from him and walks to

---Merida’s POV---Dinner was fun. A fun I never knew dinner can be. Mostly I was busy making sure no one was without, whether that was a drink, a side, or napkin. My dad, or I should say my ex-dad or Mr. Cogswell, hated reaching across the table for anything or anyone talking at the table. He preferred eating and getting to the gym before the night rush at 7pm, though it never occurred to me that was weird or that others could fend for themselves. Laughing at myself as I find myself quoting Lucy.*Hey, that girl knows what she’s saying. You should really listen to her.* Nadia comments as she stretches. *Though my question is why are you awake at this hour?**It’s 6am!* I whisper back.*Yeah and we don’t have to get up to cook or even go to school. So again I ask WHY ARE YOU AWAKE!* she screeches. Closing my eyes as the pain washes over me. *Sorry girl, I didn’t mean for that to happen!**I know Na and to answer your question, today I’m going to get my answers no matter what. And I jus

---Miguel’s POV---I just stared into her eyes lost in the depths I knew were there. In every life we have shared her eyes have always been the same, though different in color, but the depth and sincerity of them are always the same. She always looks to me with the same love and understanding, just like now, but only if she knew.“Little Sea, we tried that route. In truth Miguel always tries to better your home life or living arrangements as soon as possible. This time I asked him to hold off as long as possible so I could be the one to explain to you.” King Davien explained as he reached for her. She looked at me before going back to sit next to him. As much as I wanted her to stay next to me, it had to be this way. We had to change the cycle; she must survive to fulfill her role.“Meri, I wanted to talk with, I wanted to throw out the plan, but I couldn’t risk it. Last year before that idiot came in the picture, I had finally found a way to contact your father, King Davien.” I said a

---Merida’s POV---Breakfast was good and just as enjoyable as dinner but just on a smaller scale. Then again, I wasn’t really allowed to eat with my family as I was busy cleaning, serving or cooking the food. I always ate by myself in the kitchen, and it was whatever was left over as I had to wait for them to finish before I could eat. Let it be that we should run out of something, or they found me eating I was to blame for why they were starving.*I wonder how they are doing without me. It’s been over a week since I’ve been home or cooked for them!* I thought just as my plate was picked up and taken to the kitchen. *I will never get used to this. I just feel awful that someone is doing what I can do myself!**Girl you were a child of that blasted household. Not a cook, maid, or servant! They used you and asked too much of you. To say people were staring in shock was an understatement as everyone tried to swarm the limo as we drove into the parking lot. Warrick had to get out and guide the limo into several spots while asking the kids to make space. Luckily the school security noticed the commotion and came to help. As Miguel was telling me goodbye we heard an argument outside, Ericson quickly got out and interceded the teacher and principal that had run over.“Sir you can’t park here unless you have business here! Please leave!” Mr. Rock commanded loudly as he waved and pointed his hands at poor Warrick.“It would be better to address me Mr. Rock, as Warrick is an employee and just doing his job.” Ericson growled to get the principal’s attention. Though I was more shocked to see which teacher was with the principal. It was Mrs. Blanchard. I thought she hated morning duty and always found ways to avoid being available in the morning before school started.“Then can you explain why you are here?” Mrs. Blancha

I knew we were a sight given me short stature and his tall muscle build. Chad is on the wrestle team for the school but this year he also joined Steve’s football team at the local recreation center. Swallowing down the saliva that suddenly spawned in my mouth, I cleared my throat before explaining myself, “I have been practicing how to put up a block for the past month, but the nightmares have been going on for the past year or so…” “Ever since I left!” Jenn added as she moved to the sit next to me. Grabbing my hand, she squeezed it. I can see she wants to apologize, but it’s not her fault and plus I needed to learn how to deal with them. Mi sits back down but across from me and reaches across the table to add his hand to ours. His touch gives me strength so I can continue talking. “Jenn, I don’t remember what it was like before you came into my life, but I don’t wake up in a fit or screaming or crying. I just slept through them and woke up the next day wondering about them. I know they aren’t all the same, but they really don’t scare me. It’s like they are a film I am remembering but not completely getting.” I said as I squeezed her hand back

---Merida’s POV--- Sitting there I just watched as Mi bounced his head on the table, I just worked on Jenn’s words. It was more than I thought. I had learned that shifters tend to run in packs as a way to strengthen themselves and protect their loved ones. Though if a trouble shifter causes issues in the pack, then they are kicked out and left to wander alone. Thus, making them rogues and any person that follows them. So, a promise of a new pack, where they are forgiven is too much to turn down, even a condition like causing panic in another. But then again would they go so far as to kill shifters just to join a new pack that hasn’t been established. *Wait has the pack even been formed?* “Jenn where is this pack set to be established?” I asked, causing everyone to halt in their movement and stare at me. “I’m sorry but no new pack has been recognized in this area and with my dad here. Won’t the leader or alpha have to approach my dad to b

---Miguel’s POV--- I would say life has calmed down these past two days, but I would need a base line to compare to our everyday life. But I can say we got into a routine that worked better than before. I know Mr. Bell has a lot of knowledge and experience when assisting someone with understanding their powers or teaching others of our world but Meri is not like anyone. I can’t explain but Meri does understand everything she learns but she still questions as if the knowledge she has is different than what she learned. Not that she remembers what she knows. But I am happy that I can openly help Meri now and not sneak behind everyone’s back. As Mr. Bell didn’t want to overwhelm her and thought one on one would be good for her. As well as judge what abilities she had and see about getting them under control. I wasn’t sure if any had surfaced but then again Nadia was present in her head. ~(;P)~ Nixie’s memories ~(d:)~ “… are you ok?” came his soothing voice which had me swooning in awe. How could someone be exactly my dream angel. Helping me to a sitting position, my sister falls into my lap as she cries onto my shoulder. Oh, shit she saw uncle hitting me, I have been hiding that for years. I don’t want her to lose all connections to our parents like I have. “Anneliesa I’m ok! Remember your sister is strong.” I smiled at her as she looked to me. “Now dry those tears and say hello to our guest.” I say as I waved at my dream angel and introduced myself. “I’m Nixie Klein and this is Anneliesa Klein. Sorry about all this but welcome to our adobe.” I said, getting to my feet and looking around. Stepping back as I took in the disarray, I was astonished to see the magistrate, my uncle as well as Mr. Boem and his son being restrained. I don’t recognize the soldiers or even remember them from before I arrived. *Where did all thes

Plus, I have many questions about the Armed Guard as well.” “Well technically yes you are neither but don’t forget that Armed Ladies can be appointed if a lady has proven to be exceptional. Then again given your inexperience in our world and that it has yet to be proven your standing, it is not unheard for Armed Ladies to be appointed to you. Though they are Armed Ladies of established Ladies, not first timers.” Jen answers as she perches on the last sofa. “And I would love to be appointed but we need a Council Elder to sign off and not just the Kings.” “If I can become an Armed Lady and I can stay

I can ask Greg to stop by after his shift and give you time with Leo away from the others. But please don’t do that or show that you understand our War cats or others might see it as a weakness.” my dad says as he pulls me in for a hug. “Can you explain what a War cat is? ---Sarah’s POV--- It’s been a month since Crispin acted like a fool and tried to attack Meri with kisses or something. Though from what Meri had explained before lunch and how the king responded to my intel told me that it was Meri’s doing or power. I tried to talk with Meri over the next few weeks but once her teacher caught wind of it, he shut it down. I had no problem with it, but I did wish Mr. Bell would look in to it.
