“Wait I knew what that is!” I say after a moment. “Armed Ladies are the ladies that serve princesses or the council females. They serve both as guards and advisors, as well as representative for their lady when she is unable to be present.” After speaking a thought hit me. “But I am neither a princess nor a council female, so how can I have Armed Ladies. Plus, I have many questions about the Armed Guard as well.”

“Well technically yes you are neither but don’t forget that Armed Ladies can be appointed if a lady has proven to be exceptional. Then again given your inexperience in our world and that it has yet to be proven your standing, it is not unheard for Armed Ladies to be appointed to you. Though they are Armed Ladies of established Ladies, not first timers.” Jen answers as she perches on the last sofa. “And I would love to be appointed but we need a Council Elder to sign off and not just the Kings.”

“If I can become an Armed Lady and I can stay

~(;P)~ Nixie’s memories ~(d:)~ “… are you ok?” came his soothing voice which had me swooning in awe. How could someone be exactly my dream angel. Helping me to a sitting position, my sister falls into my lap as she cries onto my shoulder. Oh, shit she saw uncle hitting me, I have been hiding that for years. I don’t want her to lose all connections to our parents like I have. “Anneliesa I’m ok! Remember your sister is strong.” I smiled at her as she looked to me. “Now dry those tears and say hello to our guest.” I say as I waved at my dream angel and introduced myself. “I’m Nixie Klein and this is Anneliesa Klein. Sorry about all this but welcome to our adobe.” I said, getting to my feet and looking around. Stepping back as I took in the disarray, I was astonished to see the magistrate, my uncle as well as Mr. Boem and his son being restrained. I don’t recognize the soldiers or even remember them from before I arrived. *Where did all thes

---Miguel’s POV--- I would say life has calmed down these past two days, but I would need a base line to compare to our everyday life. But I can say we got into a routine that worked better than before. I know Mr. Bell has a lot of knowledge and experience when assisting someone with understanding their powers or teaching others of our world but Meri is not like anyone. I can’t explain but Meri does understand everything she learns but she still questions as if the knowledge she has is different than what she learned. Not that she remembers what she knows. But I am happy that I can openly help Meri now and not sneak behind everyone’s back. As Mr. Bell didn’t want to overwhelm her and thought one on one would be good for her. As well as judge what abilities she had and see about getting them under control. I wasn’t sure if any had surfaced but then again Nadia was present in her head. And we didn’t want her to get control or act out any more than she

---Merida’s POV--- Sitting there I just watched as Mi bounced his head on the table, I just worked on Jenn’s words. It was more than I thought. I had learned that shifters tend to run in packs as a way to strengthen themselves and protect their loved ones. Though if a trouble shifter causes issues in the pack, then they are kicked out and left to wander alone. Thus, making them rogues and any person that follows them. So, a promise of a new pack, where they are forgiven is too much to turn down, even a condition like causing panic in another. But then again would they go so far as to kill shifters just to join a new pack that hasn’t been established. *Wait has the pack even been formed?* “Jenn where is this pack set to be established?” I asked, causing everyone to halt in their movement and stare at me. “I’m sorry but no new pack has been recognized in this area and with my dad here. Won’t the leader or alpha have to approach my dad to b

Swallowing down the saliva that suddenly spawned in my mouth, I cleared my throat before explaining myself, “I have been practicing how to put up a block for the past month, but the nightmares have been going on for the past year or so…” “Ever since I left!” Jenn added as she moved to the sit next to me. Grabbing my hand, she squeezed it. I can see she wants to apologize, but it’s not her fault and plus I needed to learn how to deal with them. Mi sits back down but across from me and reaches across the table to add his hand to ours. His touch gives me strength so I can continue talking. “Jenn, I don’t remember what it was like before you came into my life, but I don’t wake up in a fit or screaming or crying. I just slept through them and woke up the next day wondering about them. I know they aren’t all the same, but they really don’t scare me. It’s like they are a film I am remembering but not completely getting.” I said as I squeezed her hand back

---Ericson’s POV--- Sighing in relief as I crossed the threshold of the house, I paused as I sensed where everyone was. The guards and staff were mostly in their places but acting weird. Even my son was acting weird. As he was pacing outside the study where everyone else was. I’m not sure what they are discussing but I could feel the tense all the way here. Though I really wanted to just get a drink and forget this day I needed to talk with the King. For that alpha of the Moonlight River pack is going to be a problem. I really can’t believe everything he said to me or even requested. He really acted like the rogues are targeting his pack and aiming to kill off all his members. The Cresent Luna has had more fatalities, and their members had to leave their daily lives behind and hide in emergency housing for the past month. We are just lucky that most of them work for shifters businesses and that all the warriors are willing to assist in getting all t

Though yes, I do like doing that but on my terms not on someone else’s. Plus, I have strict rules about who gets hurt and how much. Everything that has been going on is just plain rude. ---Merida’s POV--- You would have thought I had been living in this house in this manner all my life. Sister wouldn’t just stand by and listen, she would be comforting mom or yelling at whoever was stressing her. Getting up I crawl across the floor and look down into the house. I see mom struggling with someone I’ve never seen before but as he moves to the door that’s when I notice sister. He has sister in his arms and he’s trying to leave with her, but it’s sister’s reaction that scares me. I was hiding who I was but not physically. Everyone here knew my name and welcomed me with smiles or hugs. Smiling as I watched the fireworks, I was surprised once more when my dad appeared next to me. “So, is it everything you imagined?” I could see the ‘Little Sea’ part in his eyes, as he smiled down at me. A total shock and it also meant I had to dance with a few councilors or their sons. My mom kept appearing in my line of sight and telling me to smile. I would have punched that last son in the face, if Ericson hadn’t approached and stole me away. “Are you better now Sarah?” Ericson whispered in my ear. ---Sarah’s POV--- Today was the ball and I was really upset. Because of my family’s standing I had to attend the ball, but my mom promised I could leave after the first dance. What my mom didn’t know was, I was going to skip out during the first dance. No one would notice me or even care, though that meant I would miss the first hour or so of the beach party. Meri did a really good job on the party and put a lot of work to make this year great. The staff were really excited, and I didn’t blame them, as I was excited too. I even had my other outfit hidden downstairs by Lucinda. Though she also was hiding spare clothes for Jenn, Jayla, Cora, and my brother. From the clothes that went missing, to the destroyed items, a lot had to be replaced or fixed. Then again, my dad has been even busier, as all the councilors had many questions. Mr. Bell was around for a few days and even took time to talk with me. ~(*o*)~ ~(couple days ago)~ ~(*o*)~ Walking around the fourth floor of the library, I really took i
