"Evey, where are you?" Mom's frantic yellings came from downstairs.

I was napping in the library as I fell asleep reading a pregnancy book.

"Evey, please come downstairs." Mom's constant yelling jerked me out of my sleepy state and I stood up carefully from my resting chair.

I knew, I was forbidden to climb stairs but the library is located on the first floor. Not having much to do, I decided to read some books to kill my boredom.

"Evey!" Mom's yellings turned more frantic which alarmed me.

"I'm coming!" I yelled back in a high pitch while I carefully stepped down from the flight of stairs by the support of the railing.

I spotted her pacing too and fro in the living area, her face reflected panic laced worry as she kept wiping sweat off her face.

"What is it, Mom?" I asked her with a frown as I stepped in the living room.

Her face swiftly turned to me. Her eyes are red due to crying. She rushed to me and hugged me tighly.
