The next day comes sooner than I imagine or it was my heart who didn't want to face Brandon yet and needed excuses to avoid seeing him but duty calls.

I received a text from him just after Dad left my room. He said he wanted me to come early to the office as an urgent meeting was rescheduled by his HR team as it was their day off on the next day so they wanted to wrap it within the day.

Life couldn't be more demanding than this. I skipped breakfast as I got up a little late than my usual time.

When I reached office, it was only eight in the morning, the office hours start at ten except for workers who do cleaning and guards.

"Good morning, Sarah." I greeted the receptionist at the front desk.

"Morning, Emma. The boss wants you in his office." She told me which resulted me to halt in my tracks as I gave her a confused look.

"He looked in a hurry and you're late than him so he told me to inform you as soon as you come." She added seeing the look on my face.
