I stirred around in bed, yet nothing came on. I had spent the entire night tossing from one side of the bed to another. I wasn't sure if it was all because it had a thing or two to do with my state of mind. I was bothered a lot.

I swallowed hard. Slowly, I pushed myself up against the bed and flipped the light switch on. It was nineteen minutes past three in the morning, and I still haven't gotten a wink of sleep. It wasn't the thought of just losing the land , repaying my debt, or losing godmother, but I was under pressure.

Maybe it had something to do with Mary's death; maybe it has a lot to do with the odd man who really did look like alex .

But why was he in a wheelchair? Why was he in that part of town? Was there something I was missing? I couldn't help that my mind played in a continuous loop and no solution had set in yet.
