Chapter 48: The girl is mine

Charlotte’s pov

“I will find the answers you need, for now you just need to get away from here. I will try my outmost best to find the new person that is helping them” David said, and I nodded.

I completely trust my little brother, being who I am and how I have lived that is a big deal to me.

“But where are we going to go?” Alexa asked me and I thought about it.

There was one place I know for sure that we can go without any problems.

“I know what you are thinking but that’s a terrible idea” Alexa said frowning.

“What is a bad idea?” Sebastian asked looking between me and Alexa.

“Nothing, we need to start packing so we can go” I said getting up and Alexa remained seated.

“Sister no, I refuse to let you go there” she said, and I sighed at this.

She has always been head strong and stubborn,

“we don’t know what we are dealing with. With this new spell they will be able to find me fast, it’s the only place we can hide safely” I tried to reason with her, but she shook her head.

“Where is this place and why is it that you don’t want to go?” Sebastian directed the question to Alexa.

I tried to tell her not to say anything, but she just scoffed at this.

“A place where this strange witch we met a few years ago” she answered him.

“A witch, what kind of witch is that and why don’t you look happy about it?” Logan spoke up after being quiet for a long time.

“He said that he could help her get rid of the blood mark” she told them. Her eyes landed on me.

“He said that there is a way to get rid of the blood mark forever, that even if she is reincarnated in her next life she wont have to worry about it. She will live a normal life” Alexa said.

“So, what is wrong with that?” David asked looking at me and I knew he wanted me to answer that question.

“I will die in the process and all the power that the blood mark has will go to him” I answered, and the room went quiet and cold.

“That’s not all, she first has to marry him for the ritual to work” Alexa added looking at me with that disapproving look.

Then I heard it, a loud growl that shook the earth and the room turned dark.

The two men were obviously not happy to hear what I had planned just to get rid of this mark.

“You are thinking of doing that? I forbid you from going anywhere near that place” Sebastian said, and I scoffed.

“Last time I checked this is my life and I decide how I live it. Who are you to tell me what to do?” I asked him.

I looked around the room and everyone all had the same looks on their faces.

“ENOUGH, STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT” I yelled at the top of my lungs.

“You don’t get it; I am tired of running and hiding. I feel the powers of the blood mark growing and I don’t know what it would lead to. This is my life and only I have a right to it” I said.

“Only you have the right to it? only you? Really?” Sebastian asked.

His eyes had changed colour and were now glowing as he got closer to me.

“That’s where you are wrong. If you die then who will Alexa stay with?” he asked me.

I looked at Alexa, I am the only family she has, and she lives for me. If I die then what about her?

But I cant have her live her life on the run all the time.

“What about Logan? He is linked to you, and you did that?” he added, and I looked at Logan.

There is still story there and he can help me figure out what I found out in my other life.

It’s just I don’t think I want to see it ever again; I don’t want to see the hate in my mother’s eyes.

The way my own mother looked at me like I was a monster broke my heart.

So maybe I want to die so I never know what happens, what if even in this life I fail.

“No sister don’t even think that. This time you have everyone, there is no way that you will fail. We will all give our lives to protect you” David said.

I looked at my little brother, I used to tuck him in when he couldn’t sleep.

When he had nightmares the first person he would wake is me.

I looked at everyone and I don’t want them to ever risk their lives for me.

“Okay, but what is the plan then?” I asked them.

“You can come and stay with me. You will be safe among the werewolves I promise you that” Logan said.

I looked at Sebastian, there is no way he would agree to this.

“I agree with Logan, you will be safe with the werewolves. I wish I could take you with me but apparently I also have to clean my own house first” Sebastian said.

“What do you mean by that?” I asked him and he sighed.

Apparently Mary told him that he needs to clean his house first.

“And my brother is also looking into you, he told me once that he wants to find what you are looking for” Logan added.

“I have a lot of enemies, enemies who wouldn’t think twice before killing you. So, I will clean my house first and then I will come for you” Sebastian said firmly.

“So, we will stay with the werewolves in the meantime, will that be okay?” Alexa asked me and I looked at Logan.

I guess there was no running away from this was there?

“And I guess I will be staying there as your mate?” I asked him and he nodded.

“Yes, you have to stay there as my mate” Logan answered with a huge grin.

“Don’t get things twisted little wolf, the girl is mine” Sebastian said looking straight at me.
