The next day, Calliope decided to take a walk in the city, something she rarely did. Instead of her usual glamorous attire at the club, she dressed down in pants and a hoodie. She tucked her blonde hair under a cap and wore large sunglasses to hide her striking blue eyes. She didn't want to be recognized. Her job at the club might have helped her survive, but it wasn't something she was proud of.

Finally satisfied with her disguise, Calliope stepped out of her small rented room. The space was modest but it was her sanctuary away from the chaos. She made her way through the narrow hallways and out into the bustling streets.

The fresh air felt liberating as she stepped outside. The city was alive with activity, people rushing around, lost in their own worlds. She then blended into the crowd as just another face among many. She relished the anonymity.

Her destination was a nearby grocery store, one of the few places where she felt some semblance of normalcy. As she pushed a ca
