SHATTERED TRUST

After leaving the hospital room, Amelia was trying to process what she had overheard. She sat outside for a moment, then stood up and walked towards her car, deep in thought. Just as she was about to reach her car, she heard someone call her name.

Turning around, she saw Alexander approaching her. "Amelia, would you like to have dinner at my place tonight?" he asked, his voice gentle but cautious.

Amelia looked at him, her emotions swirling. She forced a small smile and replied, "Yes, that would be nice."

"Great," Alexander said, visibly relieved. "I'll pick you up around 7."

Amelia nodded and got into her car, driving back to her apartment. When she reached home, her frustration and anger boiled over. She couldn't believe what she had heard about Alexander having a child. In a fit of rage, she smashed her mirror with her hand, watching as the glass shattered and her hand started to bleed. The pain from the cut was nothing compared to the pain in her heart.
