Brooks is taken aback by Ryder's attack. His lips are already bleeding and there are minor cuts above his brows before he realizes what is going on and gets into defense.

He exhales sharply and sucks his teeth. No one ever hits him! He clenches his fist and attacks back. "Fuck you!" He growls as he launches a blow at Ryder.
