Mr. Bruce exhales sharply. This young man is really brazen! How can he say I should kneel and pledge allegiance to him? Me, Bruce Boden?

He frowns. "That is a lot to ask of me. How can I and my family be under the control of a young man like you? Do you have what it takes to lead our great family to great success while also protecting us?"

Lucien chuckles slightly and shakes his head. "Do you consider me a pauper as well? Are you amongst those that think I've got nothing?"

Mr. Bruce becomes paralyzed from head to toe in just the space of a second. That question is one he has no answer to.

For someone as skillful as Lucien, he doubts he will be a pauper.

However, based on his clothing and the rumor, he seems to be a pauper.
