New Book: LOVING THE GAMMA

"Is this just a game to you?" Aaron's eyes were blazing with fire. He was attempting to keep his wolf under control.

I should've been terrified, but I wasn't.

"You tell me..." I smacked my lips together, pretending his anger didn't bother me at all.

"You're confusing me." A growl revibrated from his chest, as his hands coiled into fists. He was ready to walk away when I held my palm against his chest. His eyes delved deep into mine, and I could see his desire growing.

"You can have any female you want, and yet here you are, chasing after me when you know exactly that I don't like you." My finger trailed down from his nose to his mouth, brushing his soft lips gently. "Am I a challenge you're trying to win? Because you know I am someone you can't have? Off-limits? Your Alpha's sister?" I could feel his body reacting to my touch, and it was all I ever wanted.

I wanted him to fall hard for me. In the same way that I was falling for him.

PROLOGUE

I basked in the warmth of the sun's rays brushing against my skin as I walked around the pack house garden. Everything in this place screamed beauty. And it was something I was never accustomed to while living in the big city.

I let my feet lead me further deep into the garden before my eyes caught sight of the bed of wildflowers growing marvelously on the other side.

Without second thoughts, I skipped my way to that area, with my heart bursting with happiness. How could something so hidden be this beautiful?

I crouched on the ground and let my hands touch the blooms all around me. Maybe I should pick one or two? It wouldn't hurt them, right? 

My dainty fingers reached for the yellow flowers and carefully picked one and tucked it behind my ear.

I feel like a goddess now.

I giggled at my own thoughts when a loud growl erupted in the air, marring the serenity I felt just moments ago.

And I knew, from the sound of it, that it was definitely an animal. 

This was my first time in my brother's territory. 

My brother is Alpha Jacob, the Alpha of the Black Shadow Pack, and today was the first time I met him. 

My father, Jason Galhart, was supposed to be next in line as the Alpha of the Black Shadow Pack after my grandfather, but he gave up his right to become the next Alpha to be with my mother, Jessica Sawyer, his Fated Mate.

In the beginning, he tried to stay away from my mother because he already had a Chosen Mate, the future Luna of his pack, and together they had a son, my half brother, Jacob.

But as much as my father wanted to reject my mother, he couldn't fight the pull of the mate bond. In the end, he left his Chosen and his son and ran away with my mother to live among humans.

My half-brother, Jacob, became the next Alpha. And he hasn't forgiven my father for abandoning him.

And that's why we were here.

We wanted him to forgive my father and accept us. And for him to know that he has a sister, that I exist.

My name is Janna Marie Galhart. 

I am a shifter. But I live among humans.

And today, if I had my intuition right, would be the first time I would meet a shifter in his wolf form.

My breathing hitched as I slowly turned my head towards the direction of the sound, preparing myself for the worst.

My eyes widened at the sight in front of me as I stumbled on my ass.

Baring his fangs on me was the largest wolf I've ever seen.

I know I'm a shifter, but my parents had never shown me their wolves, and this was the first time I came face-to-face with one.

Fear enveloped my whole body as tears started to well in my eyes while my lips quivered. I wanted to scream, but nothing was coming out of my throat.

The wolf snarled at me while making his way towards my spot. But it didn't take long before the wolf shifted in front of me, shifting into a human form.

My eyes widened again, but this time for a different reason.

A naked man was now standing in front of me. In his full glory. 

Oh, Goddess, he was big in every sense. 

My eyes were directly in parallel with his manhood, and I couldn't help my core from throbbing despite the fear within me.

What the fuck was wrong with me?

I snapped myself out of my thoughts and tilted my head up to look at his face.

He kept moving towards me.

What was he doing? Does he want to take advantage of me?

"Who are you?" He asked in a cold and authoritative voice that sent shivers down my spine. I was scared of him, but I couldn't explain why his voice excited me at the same time. 

I wanted to answer him, but I still couldn't find my voice. Instead, I inched backward again until my back hit a tree.

I swallowed hard before reality hit me. I had no way out. I was trying to act brave, but the thought of this man assaulting me was too much for a 16-year-old lost in an unfamiliar forest.

Soft sobs finally escaped my throat. 

"Answer me, what are you doing here? Who sent you?" His face was so dark that I was scared if I said something wrong, he would hurt me. 

"Answer me!" He shouted again, and my body jolted in fear.

"My father!" I tried to answer, but I didn't hear my own voice.

His eyes dilated and it turned full black enough that I could feel my heart would collapse soon.

What did I get myself into? Did I leave my brother's territory? Did I wander too far?

Just when I thought he would do something to me, he turned around only to come back with a piece of cloth and started to tie them around my wrists.

No, no, no way! I needed to get out of here!

I fought my hardest and kept kicking him, but he didn't seem to get hurt at all. Was this man made of steel?

"Listen, baby, cooperate and you won't get anything other than this cloth on your wrists." He was smirking like a devil, and soon, I felt my entire body being lifted into the air and landing on his shoulder.

He was taking me somewhere. 

"Let me go!" I shrieked and slammed my fists at his broad back, but he wasn't reacting. Not a muscle moved.

I kept punching and kicking. I wasn't going down without a fight.
