Jay's POV:

"I'm sorry," I apologized softly.

"Over what?" she asked simply.

"My parents. Not only did they show up unannounced, but they also acted way too familiar around you. They must have made you feel uncomfortable," I answered.

"What? No way. I was so happy to meet them. Also, they were so cheerful and friendly to me. To be honest, I would love to visit them someday, so they could meet Daisy," she said.

"Really?" I asked softly, then moved closer and held her hands in mine.

"Yes, really. If she wasn't sleeping, I would have brought her to the living room so they could meet her," she answered.

I smiled and pulled her into my embrace.

She was truly a living miracle in my life.

Not only was I now on good terms with my parents because of her, but I was also happier.

"I really don't know what I did to deserve you. You are just so good, honest, and loving," I whispered softly.

She pulled back and looked me in the eyes with a sad expression on her face.
