Chapter 117 The Destiny Of The World Lies On Your Shoulders

Jasmine's POV

"Hey babe," Asher rolled over and threw an arm around my thighs.

"Hey," I muttered, looking at his face in the not-so-bright room.

We left Liam's place for ours after we got treated to a nice meal and rest too. The kids were especially glad that we were coming back home soon. After Liam helped Asher fix the tire, we began yet another trip, thankfully, a short one. While the kids jumped up and down in excitement, Penny was all over the place, wagging her tail excitedly.

When we arrived, Asher fixed us dinner, insisting I relaxed some more, but I helped him in the kitchen instead. Once the kids were filled, they took a shower and I tucked them in bed.

"You okay?" He asked, as he gently rubbed on my thigh.

Was I? It was over an hour and thirty minutes since I got into bed, and while I watched Asher drift asleep, thanks to his tired state, I simply remained in bed, wide eyes like a puppy.
