CHAPTER FORTY TWO

Aurora's POV.

It's been two weeks since the incident between Carter and I. He had left that night and came back all bruised up. I don't know where he usually went at night and came back the next morning with cuts all over his body.

I tried helping out, but he kept pushing me away. I was hurt by what had happened. No matter how much he hated me, that was not enough reason for him to treat me like my life didn't matter at all.

However, I decided to let all that go down the drain. I didn't want to dwell on that anymore. I just wanted him to see me differently and probably have a change of mind. But still, there was no Improvement. He was still headstrong and resented me and as always.

I started giving him space. I didn't mingle with anything that had to do with him anymore. He did his own thing and I did mine. I guess it was better that way.
