CHAPTER 66: DONE DEAL

“What nonsense is this? I need to leave now.” I thought as I sat, vexed and insulted by the neglect I had endured sitting here for almost four hours unattended.

Time was well spent and the time was almost midnight and here I was, seated like an omega, preparing for an interview.

I stood up and tried to walk away when I was stopped by three hefty guards. I couldn’t even tell where they had come from. They weren’t here all the time.

I had to exercise caution, as I did not understand the affairs of this pack.

“All right guys, I’m just excusing myself from here. There’s no need for a fight,” I said, my hands stretched out and my palms facing the ground.

I controlled my body movements and showed no signs of fear and they seemed to notice that too.

There was no point in being scared in the first place; I had seen worse things.
