“Alpha, it's from Katrina. She said she’s-”

I didn’t let the guard finish up before snapping the letter out of his hand.

I knew who Katrina was and how she wouldn’t spare a case in listing out our intimate details, and that wasn’t something I’d want a mere guard to learn about.

Whatever he had glanced through was enough, as I asked him to leave instantly.

I thought about the error of my ways and how I had met judgment without trial on Katrina and almost took her life. For a moment, I felt bad about myself, bad about my position, and what I had done.

I made her look bad—real bad. It would take a lot of healing and maybe some surgeries to correct what I had inflicted on her.

My mind was really unstable at that moment, and I didn’t have a hold on all I had done. My wolf sought after its mate and was in much greater control at that moment.
