As I sat down on the couch in the master room, my hands nervously fiddled with each other.

The room had been given to us, or rather, we had booked it hastily after the chaotic scene that unfolded in the hotel's hallway and entrance between Alpha Lex and Netayam which still bothers me till this moment.

I even lost count of how many times I had sighed deeply, my anxiety building with each passing moment. The memory of that scene kept playing in my mind on a loop, as if it were glued there, and no matter how hard I tried to shake it off, I couldn't escape its grip.

It was like a vivid, haunting image. Lex, with his malevolent smirk, loomed in my mental site, taunting Alpha Netayam, my mate, with relentless determination.
