XAVIER’S POV

I remained in that position on the bed with her in my arms till I fell asleep. But even in my sleep, Anna remained in the same position.

My soul was broken, and I was at my breaking point.

Tears continued streaming down my face until the pain I felt transformed into anger. Anger for the way she was treating me.

I apologized. I had spoken to her like the male healer had suggested. I stayed by her side every single moment despite the decaying smell everyone complained about. I remained with her.
