XAVIER'S POV

It had begun!

The whole room broke up in pandemonium as the sound of the explosion shook the very foundations of the palace.

Nico had arrived and he did it as unexpectedly as I had known it would be but it was sooner than I thought it would. Also at the wrongest of times.

I pulled Anna close to me to shield her from whatever it was that had happened and I had her entire torso wrapped under my body.

"What is going on? Who are those attacking?" I heard Anna's muffled voice against my chest.

"Shhhh," I said to her in reply.

"Everybody, find somewhere safe to hide! No one should run out we don't know who the enemies are and what they want!"
