CHAPTER 93 (ANGER AND JOY)

ANNA'S POV

The voices left just the same way they had come and they left me drained. I slumped into the bed and surrendered myself into the hands of a peaceful sleep.

It was a wild ride for both I and the other people in the room. I heard a man beg the goddess for his life a couple of times as I convulsed and I could only wonder what my life had to do with him staying alive.

Minutes after I slept, I felt the presence of someone I knew too well.

It was Xavier. I knew without a doubt. But it was not how it used to be.

His presence did not feel the same way it used to feel.

It was as if I could feel him more now. Like he was not only in the room with me but he was within me.

The feeling was not a bad one but it was a very strange one as I had never in my life felt someone in my head before. It was so real as if he was in my head and not in the room...

I wanted to wake up and see him but I was so tired that I did not even try.
