It has been a week since Ashina was in the dungeon, still chained up, on the floor, the coldness of the cement sipping through her skin. She just wanted to go outside. To see the sunlight. To watch the stars. But those were just wishful thinking. She knew that there was no way she would get away from Draco, There was no way he would let her out of the dungeon. It has been a week since she last saw the brightness of the day, a week of total darkness.
He hates her. She could see it in his posture and the way he talks, she could feel it all over her.
She hasn't seen her father, Alpha Achilles or hear from him since the day she was brought here nor have she seen her father warriors looking for her.
She felt pathetic. She could hear sounds of chains on the door and soon the large iron door was pushed open and a guard walked in with a plate of food.
He dropped the food on the ground before her carelessly, spilling half of it on the floor and glared at her.
"Your food." He bit out angrily.
Ashina stared at the food that looked like a dog shit and glanced away.
"You either eat or you die, either way it is your loss." The guard said before walking away.
She crawled closer and closer to the food and her body shook furiously and her stomach growled.
She hasn't been given food since two days ago and she was famished and Exhausted.
As she ate the food while the chains around her hand clanked against each other, her thought went back to the Alpha King.
He has always been feared. She heard stories of how he kills without regret, how he makes even the strongest of men go limp in his presence.
How would she face him?
In the evening she was still in the dungeon when the door was pushed open and alpha Draco walked in.
"What is he up to again" she said in her mind.
Ashina shifted back against the wall, her eyes flying everywhere but his figure. He walked towards her and grabbed her chin forcefully, his fingers digging into her jaw.
"Stand up" He growled.
Ashina stood before Alpha Draco, his eyes cold and unfeeling. She had been captured by his pack. Her pack had been trying to expand their territory, encroaching on Alpha Draco's lands, and they had met fierce resistance.
Draco had been relentless in his pursuit to find away to bring down the stronghold of Alpha Achilles of the moon stone pack, determined to protect his pack and ensure their survival. And now, finally, he had Ashina in his grasp.
He could see the defiance in her eyes, the strength and resilience that had made her the daughter of Alpha Achilles. But he was determined to break her, to make her pay for the loss of his father.
"You think you're so strong," he spat at her. "But you're nothing but a coward hiding behind your pack."
Ashina snarled at him, her fangs bared. "I am no coward," she growled. "I am a leader, and I will not be intimidated by you."
Draco laughed bitterly. "Intimidated? You think I'm trying to intimidate you? No, Ashina, I'm going to do something far worse. I'm going to tell you the truth about how my father died."
Ashina's eyes narrowed, a flicker of fear crossing her face. "What are you talking about?" she asked.
Draco took a deep breath, his eyes locked on hers. "My father was the former Alpha of our pack," he began. "He was a great leader, respected and admired by all who knew him. But one day, your pack attacked us, and he was killed."
Ashina's eyes widened in shock. "I...I had no idea," she stammered.
Draco shook his head. "Of course you didn't. You were just following orders, doing what your pack told you to do. But my father's death changed everything for me. I became consumed by revenge, driven to destroy your pack at any cost."
Ashina's eyes softened slightly. "I'm sorry for your loss," she said quietly. "But that doesn't justify what you've done to my pack. We were just trying to survive, like you were."
Draco's face hardened. "Survival? You call attacking us and killing my father 'survival'? No, Ashina, that was an act of aggression, and you will pay for it. Your pack will pay for it."
Ashina lowered her head, her eyes filled with regret. "I understand your anger, Alpha Draco," she said. "But revenge will not bring your father back. It will only lead to more bloodshed."
Draco glared at her, his fists clenched. "I know that," he said through gritted teeth. "But I can't just let this go. I can't forgive what your pack did to my family."
Ashina sighed, her shoulders slumping. "Then what do you want from me?" she asked wearily.
Alpha Draco sneered at her, his piercing blue eyes scanning her body. "You and your pack have cost me dearly," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "I lost my father because of your kind, and I will make sure you suffer for it."
Ashina's heart sank at his words. She knew that werewolves placed a high value on their Alpha 's, and losing one was a devastating blow. She felt a pang of sympathy for Alpha Draco, but she refused to let it show on her face.
"What do you plan to do to me?" she asked, her voice steady.
Alpha Draco's lips twisted into a cruel smile. "I haven't decided yet," he said. "But rest assured, it will be painful."
The Alpha king of the moon stone pack , Achilles was sitting on his throne with a goblet of wine in hand, enjoying the festivities of the evening. The sounds of cheering and inciting voices filled the great hall, and Alpha Achilles couldn't help but smile at the sight of his people's joy.As he took another sip of his wine, he noticed one of his warriors approaching him with a worried expression. The man knelt before Achilles, his head bowed in respect."My king," the warrior said, his voice low and urgent. "I bring grave news. Your daughter, Ashina has been captured by the rival pack."Achilles's heart dropped at the news. Ashina was his only child, and she is dedicated to the service of the pack.
