Chapter thirty four~ Always & Forever

Afterwards he told her as soon as he got discharged, he was going to Lagos to see his grand dad for the remaining part of the weekend, they both stayed up the rooftop, talking randomly until his mum came looking for him. His mum smiled warmly at her, pulling her into a gentle squeeze.

Her hug felt warm, soft. Like the kind of hug Toby had always extended to her. It felt like home.

She let her hands hang limply on the side. At first, in surprise like the look etched on Toby's face which eventually morphed into a smile when she slowly allowed her hands to circle around his mum's torso.

"Thank you so much, Yara. You've been alot of help." his mum had started to say, pulling gently away from her.

Yara smiled in return, "thank you, mrs Thompson. I got to spend time with Toby." she glanced at Toby who was leaning on the black SUV, he was scrolling through his phone this time.

"Oh about that, don't mention. Do you mind if I drop you home..."
