Chapter: One Hundred & Eight

Catherine's POV

While reading the map and the tracker the hacker had connected to my cell phone, I reached the route reading to the bush where the tracker was signaling. The area looked like something had happened, and on the floor were ashes.

“The ambulance caught fire. I just hope he didn't burn to ashes.'' I touched the ash and then left the area. It was a very hidden area, and that was why it was easy for him to be caught here. Looking at the tracker, it was time to move into the bush—a forest-like bush. It looked scary, but he had gone in, so I had to find him as well or he might be hurt.

Down there, I passed through areas that seemed a bit dark, and then areas where lots of birds were living causing it to be noisy. “He made mention of a cougar, I just hope not to see any.” I thought, taking slow steps deeper until I slipped off and began tumbling downwards uncontrollably.
