Dev ~

I was startled by the thought that I've been caught. I turned away for a bit, shutting my eyes tight in regret. Why lord? Why? I know they must have been planning on me to catch me red-handed. I am a very bad actor, yesterday I did the worst acting. But, what should I have done? I have never been in this kind of situation before.

I turned to face them, finally.

"Boss, we asked you— who's she?" they repeated.

Me, not wanting to utter anything, was forced to spill the beans.

Touching my ear guiltily I replied, " she.. umm, she was just peering in here, I saw her and just wanted to throw her out."

"Please boss, are you trying to fool us? We know it all. Please tell us the truth. Till when are you gonna hide it from us? " Mayank said frustratingly.

"Yes boss, yesterday you told us not to open the door, and you have never said that. Were you hiding that girl?. If so, for what?" asked Raghav.

"Okay fine." I sighed upon the fact that I have to tell them everything, every truth. Thoughts were covering my mind. Will they understand my dilemma or will they do the exact opposite. I decided to let my voice utter may whatsoever happen next.

"She's the girl I was hiding from you people, yes, I was. "

"But why?" frowned Suraj.

I told them the entire story starting from my kill in the asylum till yesterday's hiding of this girl. Meanwhile, that girl banged the car's window from inside. That insane girl, she can't even sit quietly for a minute.

" Huh! " they sighed in unison.

"Just stop it right there, or else I'll hit you," I let out my anger on her.

"Why are you yelling at her boss? As you said, she's insane. So it's very usual for her to behave this way," said Mayank.

"Trust me guys, I for not a single second wanted to keep this girl with me. She's very irritating," I said, resting my hands on my waist.

"But why did you hide her from us?"

"I thought y'all will not support me, as I have told y'all not to bring or get involved with girls. But here I am all trapped," I hesitated.

"It's nothing like you think. We will support you, boss, no matter what the situation, we are always there for you," they replied.

"Thanks, guys. If it weren't for you I don't know what I would have done," I replied in gratitude.

"So? Now what about her? " asked Suraj.

"I am planning to leave her stranded on the road. What do you guys say?"

"I don't think that's a good idea," said Mayank dismissively.

"But why?" I asked.

"I think we should keep her here for some more days. Let her forget on her own what she saw. She will anyway forget it, she is not stable. So we will wait and watch and then leave her, " answered Raghav.

"Are you sure that'll be good? " Doubts filled my mind.

"Of Course boss, if you leave her now, she might tell people unknowingly about what she saw. So it's better to keep her here. "

But how would she know the hospital she came from? I was about to leave her in the middle of the road, " I kept my point.

"Your saying is correct, but we can't take a risk with her. Who knows she might remember. As we are highly wanted we should keep her with us till the time comes."

"Okay fine. But we have to take lots of effort to make her stay here. As she is mad, she does things which are complete nonsense. I don't know if she is dangerous and stuff because with me she almost stayed frightened," I let out a small chuckle frowning.

" With you, anybody will be the sacred boss. You are of that type only. You should have treated her nicely actually because this kind of person needs special care. Who knows if you would have behaved nicely with her, she would have been calm so far and not uttered a word and had almost forgotten what she saw, " Explained Raghav.

" What rubbish. I can't and don't ever show any sympathy to anyone. So don't tell me to do that, " I retorted immediately, biting my lower lip.

" Okay boss, but at least we can be friends with her. I mean not friendly but being a little soft person doesn't cause harm right. You don't worry about the process, we will make her forget all the past things. You relax, " said Mayank, comforting me.

"You people do whatever you want but don't expect anything from me ,'' I warned looking at each one of them.

"Done boss," they replied simultaneously.

I opened the car's door and took her out, grabbing both her hands. Suraj told me to be a little gentle as I pulled her. I left her both the hands which were tied. She left a soft cry of pain while doing so. Her beautiful hip-length tresses were caressing her wounds touching it. She looked at the new faces in front of her, and got scared ,and soon grabbed my arm for protection.

What was I going to do anyway? In fact, I am the one whom she should go away from as I am the one who will hurt her the most here. I immediately let out her clutch from my arm and she looked at me, innocence twinkling in her Hazel eyes. For the first time, I had eye contact with her and trust me they were so beautiful half-filled with water. I looked at her for a few seconds not knowing I was into her unless there was a snap of reality.

"Boss, now you leave her with us. We will look at her," It was Suraj who snapped in.

"Okay fine I am going out for a few hours and will return at night. Look at her till then. ", I said, breaking the contact.

"Yes, boss. By the way, boss, she is very pretty, we must say," interjected Mayank.

"Yeah. So pretty that anyone would easily fall for her, " said Raghav.

"Enough of you people now. Just concentrate. Don't talk about things here and there. Look after her otherwise she'll run away, " I said.

"Hmm, boss Bye."

I turned my back away to go looking at the girl one last time. Don't know why, why did I want to see her glimpse, all the time, but every time I did, it set out an unknown feeling in my mind. A feeling of something unusual. I walked a few steps far until I heard footsteps coming over me from behind, rapidly.

I turned back as quickly as possible and I was in awe as the girl was running towards me. His barefoot legs grazing the land and her hair flowing silkily into the air. I stood there still looking for what she's up to. In no time she came nearer to me and gave me a tight hug, embracing me, closing her eyes and crying. I still stood there surprised.
