Chapter 1

Election

"Sinong iboboto mo na president?"

Sino nga ba? Sa totoo lang ay wala naman akong pakialam kahit sino pa ang manalo. Siguro ay kung kaninong pangalan nalang ang matapatan ng ballpen ko ang siyang iboboto ko.

I'm taking Business Management and I'm currently in my second year. If you gonna ask me how am I doing in my class? Ayos naman. Huwag lang talagang may susulpot na mga problema.

I look in front of the auditorium, the table for the two parties is now set. The students can't stop themselves from predicting what will happen in this debate. The two leaders are both great so sino man ang manalo I am sure they can do their roles properly.

"Oy Isha! Walang kadugo kadugo dito ha. Iboboto ko kung sino ang itinitibok ng puso ko." Sabi ni Coleen habang tumatawa.

Sinamaan naman ng tingin ni Isha si Coleen dahil sa sinabi. "Bahala ka! Kuya won't lose just because of your one vote."

I'm busy with my phone when I hear the announcement. "Good morning students, we'll start the most awaiting debate in a few minutes."

"How about you Dea, you think kuya will do good later?" Napapatingin ako kay Isha sa tanong niya.

"Of course, your annoying kuya will win this one!" Sa totoo lang ay hindi naman kami close ng kuya niya. Si Akisha ang best friend ko since high school so di na mahirap na hanggang ngayong college ay kami parin ang magkasakasama.

I look at my phone again. I open my I*******m and look for some updates. I took a picture of the stage and put some effects on it.

I also put a poll asking: " Who do you think will be the winner? A or B?

I posted it on my story as I continue scanning my feed. A notification popped up showing that someone messaged me.

travisklein: Of course I'll win this one.

So hambog naman this boy? Magaling din kasi ang kalaban niya na kilalang top student din sa Engineering.

Honestly speaking, Isha's brother is really good in people's hearts. Imagine he's just 3rd year but he's competing with those seniors na.

Just wow! Sino sya para utusan ako? I locked my phone so I can focus sa debate na mag-uumpisa na.

The auditorium was filled with loud screams and cheers for both candidates. Maraming nagchicheer para kay Travis pero marami rin namang nagchicheer para kay Davin.

The most awaited debate finally started. They introduce themselves first then it's followed by the question: "Why do you want to be the student council's president?"

Both of them answered the question confidently and we all clap our hands because of that.

Nagsunod-sunod ang mga katanungan na dapat depensahan ng dalawa. Inaantok na ako sa totoo lang, I look at my friends and I badly want to laugh because they're all serious while listening in front.

Kinalabit ko si Coleen to ask kung saan kami mamaya after nito. We don't have classes na kasi may meeting ang faculty for the upcoming foundation week.

"San tayo later?" I asked Coleen

Napatingin naman siya sa akin pero agad ibinalik ang mata sa harapan. "Chills daw tayo mamaya may manlilibre kasi" sagot niya na sinabayan pa ng tawa

"Sinong manlilibre? Ikaw?" Tanong ko sa kaniya. "Duh. Of course not, ang yaman ko naman kung manlilibre ako hahaha"

"Eh sino nga?"

"Mamaya na girl! Malalaman mo din naman can't you see I'm busy here!" Sagot nya na parang naiinis na. Itinaas ko naman ang dalawang kamay ko na parang sumusuko.

I open my phone again to play Mobile Legends. Miggy introduced this game to me and I was shocked when I learned that he's so great playing this one.

Kung ako lang kasi ay alam kong di pa ako magaling at baka kaya lang nananalo ay dahil sa kasama ko siyang maglaro.

I was about to open the app when a message popped up. Nang tignan ko ay galing ito sa group chat na ginawa ni coach para sa aming mga gymnast.

Gymnast Club -

coach: we'll have a month break sa training. Wag kakalimutan yung mga bilin ko. Condition yourself and discipline wag kakalimutan lalo. We're aiming to top the upcoming competition right? Let's do our best.

PS: mamimiss ko kayo :(

Nagreact naman ako ng heart sa message ni coach. I'm a part of the gymnast club pala and we're going to join the competition months from now.

"Relationship while studying? Yes or No?"

Nakinig na muli ako sa debate nang marinig ko ang malalakas na tili ng mga kasama ko. I look at the two men in front and wait for their answers like the others do.

Isha's brother was the first one who walks to the podium and grabs the microphone. He smiles at the crowd and have a deep sigh.

"When you really want to finish your studies because you have a certain goal, you'll do it without a doubt. You'll do it because you aimed for something that will benefit you and your family. So, therefore, my answer is yes I'm somehow in favor of those relationships while studying."

The crowd clapped their hands and cheer loudly because of his answer. He stepped back so Davin can deliver his answer.

"It's a no. It's a no because if you really love someone, you'll wait for her and do more important things than that love we're talking about."

Nagpatuloy naman ang sagutan ng dalawa hanggang sa natapos ito sa pagkakamayan nila at patuloy na pagchicheer ng mga tao.

Nagtayuan na ang mga estudyante para sa pag-alis sa auditorium. Naghahanda na rin kami dahil inaantay pa namin si Travis.

We're about to stand up when I saw Davin approaching us. He smiled at me widely and nod at me.

"Hey, you're here to watch me? Magaling ba ako?" Davin asked me while laughing.

Natawa naman ako sa sinabi nya. I watched because of him? "Ay wow. Wala lang ako magawa kaya I'm here no"

"Okay maniniwala ako" I punched him jokingly. "What? Totoo nga! I'm not here because of you!"

"Ang pikon naman" I glared at him because he's still laughing.

"Any plans? Lunch?" Napalingon sa kanya sila Coleen dahil sa sinabi.

" We're having a group study kasi Davin, so amin muna si Dea ha" I look at her nagtataka.

Iniwasan ko sila ng tingin nang mapansin ko ang isang papalapit. His eyes look cold and he's glaring at us or at me?

"Ganun ba? Okay thank you for this Dey. I'll call you later" I just nodded to dismiss the discussion.

Siniko ako ni Isha and when I look at her she mouthed "Let's go". I nodded at her, "Uhm, alis na kami" I said to him.

"Okay. Take care, please remember this is for you" He kissed my cheek and walked away. I blushed because of that without noticing it.

"Hey! Why are you blushing huh?!?" Coleen exclaimed. What? I'm blushing?

"Hey, I'm not blushing no!"

"Let's go," a deep voice said. Nandito pa pala siya. I look at him and I was about to smile when he glared at me at inirapan ako.

Okay? Why does it seem he's mad at me?
