Ambrose’s POV

I couldn’t wait much longer. They were taking ample time to finish off their business. And hearing their incessant sounds was making matters worse.

It's more like they meant to punish me for leaving Brian.

Brian.

After all these years, his name still makes my heart pound.

Now I was at his door – afraid to knock.

I stood there for what seemed like an eternity.

I guess it was time to seek emotional closure.

I was here for two reasons.

To warn him to thread with caution and to cut my ties with him.

Possibly, if I see him again, I could let go.

Because after all these years, he had been showing up in my dreams.

I guess it’s always like that for first loves.

Finally, I knocked.

It was the same moment my heart thumped.

No sooner had I knocked than he answered.

I could read the shocking expression on his face.

But soon dissolved into an arbitrary hug and warm smile.

“Ambrose!” He screamed in delight. “I thought I’d never see you again.”

It was then I knew how much I missed him.
