Hundred and Sixty Eight

“Boys!” Beta Jason called out to us standing by the door with his fingers still wrapped around the knob of the door.

The grimaced look on his face made It quite obvious that he had heard a bit of what the boys had been ranting about.

“It's not going to be a night for fun boys!” he said walking into the dining room as he had the door closed gently walking towards us.

“When the time is right, your father will explain more about how things are done,” he said.

“We call it the order of things,” he added smiling at us.

“Order?” Sam asked.

We all stood there staring at him puzzled about what he meant.

“Yes,” he responded.

“You’d understand soon enough!” he added.

I shrugged as I turned to leave, not finding any interest in whatever they were talking about.

“That doesn’t exclude you, Seth,” he said.

I faked a smile as I gave a nod looking directly into his eyes and then without any more words, I walked away.

I had my fingers wrapped around the doorknob, struggling to open it up for a bit
