Chapter 42 I can’t risk losing her

“How is she?” Tristan asks the doctor when he exits the ward where Zoey was sent after she received medical care.

“We succeeded in making her shift back into human form, Alpha, but she is sleeping right now. We induced her into a false coma so she will rest properly. I am not going to lie to you. This doesn’t look good at all. The pup is still at risk.”

“What about her?” Tristan asks. “Her life is still at risk?” and his heart was beating salwar and slower while he was waiting for an answer.

“Yes.” and the doctor looked at him in disbelief. “I know that is not my business, Alpha, but why do you want her now? In the past you acted differently.” but Tristan raised his gaze and with a killing look he said.

“You are right, it is not your business.” and he wanted to enter Zoey’s ward but the doctor asked him back.

“If I am going to do the impossible to save her, I need to know that this is a long term decision. I am not going to fight for her if you are going to hurt her again. It's a loss
