Sophia's POV

I don't think I'm ready to be engaged.

"Hm, I do intend to marry you, Sophia."

My mother also answered because maybe she knew that I was running out of words. "It's enough. I think I really appreciate your good intentions towards Sophia. But I don't think Sophia is ready for that. So maybe you just have a relationship so you can get to know each other. And you can play at our house."

“Yes, thank you, ma'am. I'm very happy to meet you. I will schedule a visit to your house."

I just ate a little there. Because I feel like I don't know what to do. Because the conversation between us seemed quite heavy so it made me feel numb. If Jeremy didn't talk about marriage, of course I would be able to relax too. But for some reason, Jeremy said about marriage at the beginning of his meeting with my mother.

We weren't there for long because I couldn't stand just talking to my mother alone. Just getting into the car I asked my mother.

“How is it, ma'am?”
