(LANA’S POV)“Oh my Goodness! Did you really?” Daisy said in shock.I shifted uncomfortably avoiding their eyes as my fingers played on the handle of my box.“I’m sorry. I know we agreed on no more Atlas. I just wanted to express myself!” I said with a resigned sigh.“Oh no. It is not that.” Daisy said stepping forward. “I'm just shocked that you told him all that to his face.”I finally found the courage to look up at my friend seeing that she was not judging me for going to see Atlas even after I had promised not to.“Yea, same here. I am proud that you let him have it and I am very surprised too.” Paige said with a raised eyebrow.Paige is not one to be easily surprised.“So does this really mean- Hey! Watch it!” Daisy said angrily when a bunch of boys ran past us roughly hurling their boxes as they did.My friends and I were standing close to each other in the rowdy airport. We were getting ready to board the plane that would be taking us to Washington D.C. on our school excursion
(LANA’S POV)I would be lying if I said that I had a peaceful flight to Washington D.C. But I would also be lying If I said I had a stressful flight. So there you have it, my flight was in the middle of both of moods. Maybe I would say it was balanced….sort of. How could it have been peaceful when I was fighting strongly to stop thinking about Atlas? It was a good thing that I was seated with Travis very far from where my former seat was because I may have been unconsciously stealing glances.I was not on a roller coaster all the time anyway, Travis was nice enough to let me do my writing and he offered me refreshments a lot of times. It would have been perfect if we had not had that awkward conversation just as we were landing.“I’m so glad that you were right beside me throughout this flight.” He said when everyone was cheering around us in celebration of a safe landing.“It was a nice flight.” I said feeling a little but uncomfortable because of how Travis was starring at me.“Y
(LANA'S POV) I am very familiar with the popular saying that no one is perfect. But that happens to be a big lie because I know someone who is the most perfect being on earth. His name is Atlas Shaughnessy and I have been writing and daydreaming about him from the first day I saw him. That was the first day I walked in to the cafeteria nervously clutching my tray on my first day in Golden Child's High. He was sitting with the most nonchalant look on his perfect face. It wasn't hard to find out who he was considering everyone had his name on their lips. Atlas is the third out of five sons of Mr Maverick Shaughnessy, a business tycoon and the richest man in Golden valley city. Mr Shaughnessy owns several productive companies in the country and as I have mentioned earlier, he has five handsome sons. Their names are Andres, Alderson, Atlas, Adrian and Avril. They are like young gods of Gold Valley city. They have the looks, the wealth and the class. Atlas is my mate in scho
(LANA’S POV)“Earth to Lana!” Daisy’s voice made me snap out of my thoughts. "Writing in your notebook again? If I didn't know you so well, I would have made sure to name you as a suspect for the Coral Writer." Daisy says to me before popping a fry in her mouth . I sigh and snap my book shut. "Well it's a good thing that you know me so well." I reply with playful sarcasm. "Five years and you still aren't used to my bad habits.""We are. That's why we never get tired of teasing you." Paige says and she gives me a playful nudge. Paige and Daisy, My Moon and My Sun. The best thing Golden Child's High has given to me. (Asides from Atlas Shaughnessy)."So, I was saying there's going to be a party this weekend and we might have a good chance to sneak in." Paige tells me wriggling her eyebrows."I'll pass, thank you." I replied."Oh come on!" Paige says with a groan."Told you." Daisy said with a shrug. "Don't you want to experience a high school party even once?" Paige pleaded."She
(ATLAS'S POV)I had been listening to music with my AirPods in the bathroom and so I had no idea that someone was in the room. When I stepped out of the shower without a towel like I usually do, I was shocked to find a petite girl in a big cleaner's uniform with her back turned to me as she smelled my Shirt. That uniform still did not hide her curvy bottom."What the-" The words came out on impulse and that was when she turned around and saw me. So I really don't know what I was expecting, especially with that curvy, petite body but when she turned around, I lost my mind briefly for sure. Saying this girl was beautiful would do no Justice to her. She was damn freaking gorgeous! Her shiny blonde hair was wrapped in a bun and it made her sharp large blue eyes which widened in shock more obvious against a sort of apple faced shape. She had a small pouty mouth that was slightly opened in shock. Her face turned red and her eyes trailed down my chest and dropped below my waist. That
(LANA’S POV)I never thought that I would ever see myself standing so close to Atlas ever. He had pulled me in to a corner in the hallway and for me it suddenly seemed like we were the only ones in the world. My nose was already filled with his cologne and it took me back to yesterday. I knew that my cheeks had gone red again, I could feel the heat.“You don’t have anything to say to me, do you?” He asked me.His voice was as sexy as the rest of him was. Not very deep but hoarse in a kind of cool manner. It made my legs shake. I would have thought that being so close to him would at least show me his imperfections but his face was perfectly sculpted and my brain suddenly stopped functioning properly.“That’s funny. Your book made me think that you had a lot to say…..” He said and I was shocked when his eyes fluttered to my lips briefly before he added in his alluring voice, “And a lot to do.” I could feel my breath hitching in my throat.“I…I am really sorry for sniffing your clo
(ATLAS’S POV) With the look on her face one would have thought she saw a ghost. Of course she would be surprised to death. Why on earth would anyone imagine me climbing in through the window? I am Atlas Fucking Shaughnessy for crying out loud! But that just proves my theory on this whole madness. Alana Delaware had to be a witch! It was her third day in my life and here I was climbing in through a window. “I..um…yes I’m here Paige. I’m sorry can I call you back?” She quickly said to the person she was on the phone with. Then she ended the phone call and hurriedly went to lock her door before turning around me shakily. Her eyes were still wide open in shock and they looked like they were going to pop out anytime soon. This time around instead of her facing turning red, she looked plain white. As I said, like she had seen a ghost.“How did you find me? What are you…” she seemed to have lost the words to continue just like yesterday. “I have my ways.” I answered her simply.“You s
(LANA’S POV)“Alana Marissa Delaware! What in the name of God is wrong with you?!” It was my mother’s sharp voice that pierced right through my thoughts and made me focus on the present. My eyes widened in shock and I gasped realizing I was overfilling a glass cup with water. I put down the jug immediately and then proceeded to the bigger offense. The overflowing water had poured on to the table and then in turn poured on Daddy’s lap. The expression he had on his face was one that said ‘what the hell is wrong with you?’ But of course he couldn’t say that to me because I am his child. His only child.“I’m sorry Daddy. I’m so sorry.” I apologized quickly with my palms pressed together.Dad sighed and then looked at me with concern on his face.“Are you okay? Is everything okay?” He asked me.“Yes I’m fine. I just got lost thinking.” I replied sharply.“About what?” Mum demanded displeased.Well there was no way I could tell them what I was thinking about . No way in hell!Flashes of A

“Now, tell me, Alana. What is it that you really want?” He asked. The way he looked at me intimidated me and I disliked it so much. I wanted to be firm. I wanted to be confident. “I told you. I am here because I want my book!” I said maintaining my stance. Atlas chuckled. A soft and dry sound that mocked me. “That’s not what you are here for.” He said. He sounded so confident and blunt. I hated that he was right and it annoyed me so much that he was speaking so calmly to me after the way he treated me. After how he left me in that house and snubbed me right afterwards. Fury gnawed within me and I folded my arms across my chest balancing my pose on one hip. “You know what? Maybe i’m not just here for my book! Maybe I am also here to give you a piece of my mind.” I Said. “Well, -“ Atlas started to say but I raised my hand to stop him. “Don’t say anything. You didn’t think you had anything to say to me, anyway. I said and then I scoffed at him right after, You’re so me
(LANA’S POV)There was a moment of pure silence passing through the atmosphere as the boys simply stared at me. The butler narrowed his eyes at me and at them, he could very easily sense that there was some sort of strange thing going around. Then as if snapping out of his thoughts at once, Atlas stood up and walked towards me. Each step he took made my heart beat faster as I struggled to maintain holding his gaze. He was dressed only in shorts and his well framed physique was very obvious in the daylight. He got to me keeping his eyes deeply on mine.“That will be all, Jameson.” He said ajd just as I was starting to wonder who Jameson was, the butler gave a ‘yes sir’ before turning around to take his leave. My eyes could not help but wander to Atlas’s broad chest which seemed to glisten under the sunlight with obvious stains of water on him. I swallowed a lump in my throat as flashes from our last union took place in my head.“I guess you came all the way here to feed your eyes.” He
My friends didn’t lie when they said they would help me get over Atlas. We spent the next few days having fun and being in school together. We had lunch at the bleachers instead of the cafeteria, they made sure that I was almost always occupied with books, we went out a lot and I have to say that it helped me to feel better.I have been watching Atlas as well as haboring feelings for him for years now and to withdraw was not something that was easy. But I was determined and so I put in extra effort.I made a submission to the management of academics requesting for a change in my schedules and time tables. Since I am a perfect score student who has never been in trouble, it was not hard to get what I wanted which was to avoid seeing Atlas in my classes. At night I thought about him before going to bed, sometimes I cried but I stayed strong. It went on that way for some time. Then, Friday came and I was in bed exchanging texts with my friends in our shared group chat. The next day was
(LANA’S POV)My friends stared wide eyed at me like they had just experienced an encounter with a ghost. I stood shocked as well, unable to make words out. They were the last people that I expected to see now and I thought to myself that they must have been worried and come after me.I wondered how long they had been here, what they had seen and if they had heard anything at all. But with such shocked looks on their faces, I knew for a fact that they had a good idea of my secret.I knew it without a doubt.————————————————————————————“Oh my goodness!” Daisy exclaimed for what seemed to be like the hundredth time.“Can you stop saying that?” Paige said tiredly. Her voice sounded way more balanced than Paige but looking at her, one could see that her expression was not so far fetched. She looked like she had been shaken from the story I had just told them.We were all huddled up on my bed, in my room and admist tears, I had relaid most of all that had happened between Atlas and I.Yes
One of the first things that I had ever noticed about Atlas Shaughnessy was how almost cold, expressionless and distant he seemed to be. But when he left me all alone in that huge mansion, i felt his icy attitude for the very first time. It sucked everything from me and drained my energy and confidence. Exactly ten minutes after he had left, the sound of the doorbell jarred me out of my heartbroken and sober state.I had worn my clothes but still remained seated in the bedroom as if waiting somehow for him to reappear. For one second, I had even hoped he was the one at the door, but it was the driver, just as he had told me, an expressionless young man with the figure and aura of a bodyguard. I was driven and dropped off with an emptiness and the broken memories of his fingers and lips all over me.I was plunged in to an unfamiliar place of pain and sadness, one that made sleep almost impossible that night. My mind was swirling in a turmoil of sorrow and the thoughts of what could h
(LANA’S POV)Each strength I had crumbled within me when he looked at me in such an intense way. His tone was authoritative and strong enough to stir up more emotions than I ever imagined. We were so close to each other but I wanted to be even closer to him. So I raised my hands up and let my palms rest on his chest. He watched me intensely as if waiting for what I would do. I closed my eyes thinking of all my imaginations and night dreams, when I opened them again, I raised my self higher standing on my tip toes as I let my lips brush gently over his.I bit his lower lip and he moaned giving me access to slip my tongue in to his mouth. Kissing him overwhelmed me with such intense want.My hands moved over his body gently but firmly as I enjoyed the hardness of his skin. I kissed him so deeply with all my might and desire. Then I reached for his shirt and slipped my hands under raising it higher as I stepped back for a break to take his shirt over his head.I stared at the marvelous
(ATLAS’S POV)Alana was acting icy cold when we got in to the house. She had been acting that way all the way through the drive and till now. I couldn’t help but wonder if she was mad at me for calling her a nerd last night or because of what happened between that male dude and I.“So are you going to say what’s wrong?” I asked watching her take a seat on the Chaise Lounge.I was standing with my arms straightened out beside me and my eyes solely fixed on her. “Nothing is wrong.” She said but she still wasn’t looking at me.“Then why won’t you look at me?” I asked her.She seemed to take a deep breath and then she turned to look at me.Her blue eyes struck me as they always do and I found comfort in starring at that pretty face. “There is nothing wrong.” She said holding my eyes.I had to admit that Alana was so much more than I had ever expected. By a lot more, I mainly mean stubborn.I walked towards her and her eyes narrowed while she turned her face away also.I crouched so I c
