(LANA’S POV)I would be lying if I said that I had a peaceful flight to Washington D.C. But I would also be lying If I said I had a stressful flight. So there you have it, my flight was in the middle of both of moods. Maybe I would say it was balanced….sort of. How could it have been peaceful when I was fighting strongly to stop thinking about Atlas? It was a good thing that I was seated with Travis very far from where my former seat was because I may have been unconsciously stealing glances.I was not on a roller coaster all the time anyway, Travis was nice enough to let me do my writing and he offered me refreshments a lot of times. It would have been perfect if we had not had that awkward conversation just as we were landing.“I’m so glad that you were right beside me throughout this flight.” He said when everyone was cheering around us in celebration of a safe landing.“It was a nice flight.” I said feeling a little but uncomfortable because of how Travis was starring at me.“Y
(LANA’S POV)If I was not frozen to the spot then I would have simply pinched myself very hard with the hopes of snapping out of this terrible nightmare. My head was doing a very quick replay and assessment of how I got here, standing in this narrow, lonely and dark looking Alley.I had hurried out of the library the moment I realized that my group had left me alone. I had darted out despite the receptionist at the library calling for me to stop.I walked to the end of the street and then took a sharp turn that I remember we came through. I started talking as t dawned on me that I had actually been left which is a very bad thing for them do! I mean, did they not do a head count or something? Did they leave me because I was the only scholarship Nerd in the group? I get it that it was only one teacher with about forty of us but every one of us is important and should not be left behind!Asides from that, I should really blame myself for most of what has happened. I was so engrossed in
(ATLAS’S POV)“It’s okay, Alana. It’s okay.” I said as she screamed and fought against my grip. She was still fighting for a brief moment and then she stopped. It was like she heard my voice and it registered in her brain. She looked up at me sharply and the way she looked made anger fuel in my chest all over again. She looked scared. No, terrified is the word and I could feel her shaking. “Atlas? Is it really you?” She asked in a cracked voice and a low whisper.“Yes! It’s me. I’m here. You’re safe. Nothing is going to happen to you.” I said in my most reassuring tone. She glanced backwards at the man who had collapsed back on the ground mid walking to her and then she turned to me and burst in to tears burying her face in my chest.I held on to her tightly feeling the rage surge from within me! “Hold on. I’ll be back.” I said with a growl with a mind of walking to the man who was groaning on the ground.“No. No. No. Please don’t go. Don’t leave me alone.” She begged holding on t
(LANA’S POV)“Sometimes, I really hate this school.” Paige said angrilly. We were in our room and seated on one of the large beds. I was in the middle of my friends who held me comfortingly.I had just finished telling them about the dreadful evening I had and the horrible nightmare that I had almost gone through.I still could not believe it. It was like I had stepped out of a bad dream. I was still shivering and my heart was still racing.“It’s my fault.” I murmured looking down at my fingers. “I shouldn’t have gotten lost like that. I should have stuck to the given time and….”“Oh! Don’t do that, Lana.” Daisy pleaded as she wiped the tears off her own face. “First of all what happened this evening was the fault of that disgusting human being who wanted to take advantage of you! Then the school was next in line. Yes, you were supposed to report back on time but you’re under their care. They should have done a headcount, marked an attendance, hell they shouldn’t have left you behind
It was disappointing not being able to see Atlas during the tour. My eyes searched for him tirelessly but I still didn’t find him. When it was time for the candle lit dinner, I had already given up and so I was simply focused on the steak placed before me while the other kids around were bustling in excitement. My excitement level on the other hand was very low, until Daisy nudged me and leaned forward with a whisper. “There he is.” She said and I brightened up immediately .I knew who she was talking about without even asking and my eyes followed hers to the long table just ahead of ours. At the extreme end, Atlas sat with his usual unfazed expression.I felt so embarrassed with how his presence brightened me up and when I noticed my friends looking at me knowingly , I narrowed my eyes at them.“What is so funny?” I asked before taking a sip of my fruit juice.“You’ve been acting so dull throughout and now all of a sudden, you look like a light bulb.” Daisy said with another playfu
(LANA’S POV)“This was a horrible school trip!” Daisy said angrilly in a low tone.“Just terrible!” I agreed in an equal tone.“The worst!” Paige moaned weakly. We were standing in line waiting to get on the bus to the airport.I’m sure you already know why this trip was a terrible one for me. I had a bad, no, a horrible experience and I can refresh your brain if you like.I was assaulted and almost raped on my first night and on the last night, I was publicly humiliated by the most popular girl in school and labeled peppa pig. (No offence to Peppa Pig by the way) I love her!As for my friends, they got their own bad experiences last night.“Seems like the Circus came to town.” A boy teased as he walked past laughing with his friends.“Stupid jerks!” Daisy called after them as she itched her skin angrilly. I’m sure I had the worst experience of all but Daisy is the angriest. She got a skin infection which led to a rash after getting in to the hot tub or using a towel (I’m not sure
It could be the thousandth time that I was staring at the note intensely as I expected something to change or to notice something new.Of course it didn’t change. “Are you going?” Daisy whispered from the front seat where she was seated.“I….”“Of course she’s not.” Paige said without even opening her eyes to glance at me. She was rested back on her seat with her hands resting on her troubled stomach. “That’s not for you to decide, Paige.” Daisy whispered back.“There’s nothing to decide.” Paige said weakly.“It’s obvious she wants to go and she can if she wants to!” Daisy said firmly.“I haven’t decided yet.” I said quickly not wanting them to argue.“But you’re thinking about it, aren’t you?” Daisy pushed. This time, Paige opened an eye to glance at me.“Yes I am.” I replied genuinely.Daisy gave Paige an ‘I told you so’ look. Paige sighed and closed her eyes back.“You know what? Do whatever. I have enough troubles of my own.” She said with a tired groan.I sighed and rested back
(LANA’S POV)I wasn’t sure of what to say or how to move even. I just stayed still watching him as he now stood up and moved closer to me. I moved backwards with my back now against the door.Atlas stopped, a few feet away from me with a raised eyebrow at me. His eyes seemed to observed the distance that I had now set in between us. “Are you scared of me?” He asked and when I said nothing, he went on speaking.“This is not the first or second time I’m coming to your room.” He said casually.“It still doesn’t mean that I should be ready to see you each time I open the door.” I said finding my voice. “You scared me.”“So you’re not happy to see me.” He said.It sounded like a statement but his eyes dug in to mine as if he expected to hear me give an answer. For me I know how I felt about seeing him. I was startled to find him in my room but I could not deny that I felt pleased as well. “What are you doing here?” I said folding my arms in a defensive posture.(Yes because my emotions
(ATLAS’S POV)I could feel her body going through stages of excitement. She was vibrating beneath me and her hands ran over my chest and back gently but firmly at first before they became more urgent. I loved the way she smelled, the way she felt, the way she moaned. Every single thing she did made me want to lose my mind and self control. I sucked her nipple making sure to savor each moment as I did.Her fingers dug in to my shoulders while she moaned sending ripples of pleasure through me. I reached for the clasp of her bra and quickly undid it freeing her boobs as I tossed the fabric aside. I took her fullness in my hands wishing I could take both nipples in my mouth at the same time.Whenever I am having intimate moments, I like to take my time but with Alana each movement, each kiss, each touch, each stroke ignited a deep fiery hunger within me that made me want to swallow her up. There was so much I wanted to do and I had no patience in me.Her body was sending me reeling in
(LANA’S POV)There was something so deep about the way Atlas kissed me. The kiss said so many things to me, it told me that he cared deeply for me and that he really wanted me.It elevated the deep desire in my body, it resonated so much with my feelings and without further delay, I began to immediately respond to the contact. His tongue swirled in to my not sucking gently and I sighed in to content as his hand circled around my waist gently while my hands reached out and knotted around his neck.I stood on my tiptoes and kissed him back as deeply as I could. Atlas moaned and my body responded my digging my fingers on to the fabric of his clothes wishing I could come in contact with his bare skin. His hands reached up and massaged my breast gently to which I responded with a raspy moan. His hand rested on my breast and gave another gentle massage which made me hold on to him but he pulled away quickly just as I moaned again.I looked at him shocked at the unexpected way he had pulled
(LANA’S POV)“A-A- Private Jet?” I stuttered in shock at him. Atlas and I were about to get in to his car as he held the door open for me and told me that we were headed to where we would take a private jet to another city.Atlas was picking me up from my home around five in the evening. My parents had left hours before and I had told him already that I would be ready to leave in the evening. What I definitely was not expecting was that we were going to use a private Jet to fly. I really didn’t even think we would be flying anywhere.“Yeah. I want to take you somewhere, out of golden valley.” He said with a rough, shy boyish smile that made him look so handsome.“Out of the city?” I said in shock. Atlas nodded.I didn’t say anything at first. I was just best shocked. It was not just that I had never been in a private jet before, it was that I was definitely not expecting this.“Is it too much?” He asked me and I chuckled in response.“It’s sweet. But yes, it’s too much. I don’t want
(LANA’S POV)“Alana!” Mum’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts quickly and I narrowed my eyes around the breakfast table. It was not unusual for my parents to stare at me like I was an alien who dropped from the sky. (Because I am their weird daughter who zones out right in the middle of breakfast but honestly, I do think they should be used to it by now)“I’m sorry. I am very sorry.” I apologized picking up my mug of hot cocoa.“She’s still going to do that again.” Dad whispered to mum like I was seated right beside him.“What exactly goes on in that head of yours?” Mum asked looking at me with amazement.(Again you would think they are used to it by now)I had a quick flash of Atlas’s lips on mine and his hands over my body. I spluttered and quickly dropped my mug down while reaching for my napkin and dabbing my mouth quickly.Oh mum and Dad you definitely don’t want to know! I thought out loud. “Um… Not much!” I lied.“She’s probably stuffing the whole dictionary in her head. Th
(LANA’S POV)“At-Atlas.” I said placing a hand on my chest to calm myself down. “I’m sorry I scared you.” He said.A flicker of surprise brushed through me, there was just something deep about the way he looked at me. Something so genuine and it stirred deep emotions within me.“It’s okay.” I said looking down at my feet as i intertwined my fingers together.Atlas moved closer to me and I could get a whiff of his body scent. It stirred more emotions within me and butterflies danced in my tummy. I looked up at him but I had to narrow my eyes away because for some reason I could not maintain his gaze. My cheeks felt so hot that it felt like the first time we were meeting all over again. Atlas came even closer and I in turn moved backwards. “What’s wrong? Are you angry with me?” He asked in a low and cool tone. “No, I’m not.” I said but I was still unable to look up at him. “Then tell me, what’s wrong?” He asked. “Nothing is wrong.” I said.He reached out and took my hand.“Then
(LANA’S POV)What do you do when you become the girlfriend of someone you have always dreamed of?No, let me rephrase this. What do you do when you become the girlfriend of Atlas Shaughnessy? I have asked myself a thousand times if this is really happening. I replayed a number of scenes in my head, starting with the day I first saw him and going on to the day I had seen him naked until just this afternoon in the dark underground park of our school, where I said yes to being his girlfriend .I freaked out a couple of times thinking about it and that was the main reason why I pleaded with my friends to go shopping with me when dad sent me on an errand. When I told them I had said yes reacted just how I expected them to react. Shocked, even though I had told them about his question and even though I feel like they knew I was going to say yes to him.“So now you’re his girlfriend.” Paige said as if confirming it in her head. “You are his girlfriend.” Daisy repeated wide eyed and she t
(ALANA’S POV)“Hey.” He said to me in that deep yet soft voice of his. My whole body responded instantly to him and I could not suppress the yearning in me.“Hey.” I replied. We were standing close to each other and the voices of other kids even though distant seemed to become totally blurred out by his overwhelming presence and intoxicating scent.“I did not think you will see me.” He said.I wanted to tell him ‘how could I not see him?’ But then I gave a shrug with a small smile. Then I summoned courage to speak my words seeing as the tensions between us was thickening.“I was hoping to see you.” I said.He raised an eyebrow at me.“I was hoping to see you as well but just because I wanted to get a glance at you.” He said with a rough chuckle that stirred butterflies in my tummy. “Well, I wanted to talk to you.” I said looking down at my feet.“Okay. What about?” He asked folding his arm and leaning back in a casual way. “About the question you asked me.” I said now looking him s
“Just three days without us present and this happens?” Paige said with her eyes opened.I gave her a light smile that told of my embarrassment as well.I had been thinking of how to break the news of what happened to my friends. From Atlas asking me to be his girlfriend and from him taking me to the therapist. (Miss Wattkins who I have honestly learned to love even after just seeing her twice)They both spent three days out of school and with me still being without a phone, I could not share the news with them.I tried my best to avoid Atlas as well, but how possible was that when his face was everywhere I turned, even when I closed my eyes. “So you are going to be the girlfriend of Atlas Shaughnessy?” Daisy said in a deep whisper her whole face clearly expressing shock.I cleared my throat loudly to block out her words as I turned around to make sure no one was listening.“I haven’t given my answer yet.” I said through gritted teeth.“Which is quite expected.” Paige commented.Dais
(LANA’S POV)The stiffened moans, the way his fingers had moved, his breath against my skin….“I see you remember it well.” Atlas said and he looked pleased while I felt embarrassed. I gave a Quick Look around us wondering if he wanted to do a replay of the library incident again. “Don’t worry. I won’t do that.” He said and then with a raised eyebrow, he added. “Not except you want me to.”I knew that my face was red to show how embarrassed I was feeling. “What are you doing here?” I asked finally finding my tongue. I hoped that he was not here to pressure me in to giving him an answer because I still didn’t know what I wanted to say to him.“I’m here because I want to speak to you.” He said.I shifted uncomfortably in my sit because I was certain that he wanted to speak to me about his question.“I haven’t-“ I started saying but he raised a hand to stop me.“It’s not about that.” He said. “It’s about what happened on the school trip. You know, what almost happened in the dark all
