Chapter 38: Chloe was Followed

Chloe pulled out of the car lot and saw flashing lights in the mirror. It was Detective Johnson's car. Seriously? She thought and rolled her eyes. He rapped on her window.

"Hello, Liam."  She said as she rolled the window down half an inch.

"Nice, Jetta."

"You were following me? Since when?"

"Since you got out of Kyle Lautner's car." He told her. Kyle's car?  She thought for a second. Oh! That's what Kyle meant by 'stall him for an hour.'

"How long ago was that?" She asked the hot detective, wondering if maybe it was a good idea to team up with Kyle. If she could follow through with stalling Liam, Kyle would handle the rest, and she would be ok.

"Hmm? Forty-three minutes and eight, nine, ten seconds." He told her, looking at his watch. "So you were the girlfriend he was fucking yesterday? You spent the night with him?"
