"Josiah, can I take a look at your wound?" Ysabelle lifted his shirt gently. At the sight of the bandage, tears welled up in her eyes.

She looked up at him and said, "It was the same spot as the one three years ago, right? It must've been painful for you."

Noticing the tears in her eyes, Josiah asked, "Why are you crying?"

"I…I feel sorry for you."

"Yeah?"

Ysabelle felt bad for him?

Meredith too knew about his injury but she had not once taken a look at his wound.

For the sake of saving her loverboy, Meredith did not even care about his injury. If not, his wound would not have been torn open.

Josiah thought to himself that Meredith really wanted him to die.

Seeing how Josiah was calm, she mustered up her courage and leaned her head on his shoulders, and said in a honeyed voice, "Josiah, now that Meredith had ended up this way and there is no chance for Yena to regain her consciousness, let me stay by your side and take care of you, okay? I don't wish to see you get hurt again
