Niklaus's POV

Inside my office, I lost track of time and I was deep in my thoughts, something others feel threatened by for the fact that it rarely happens.

Shut my eyes and I could hear her voice, a melody to my ears. I can't believe I was so anxious to meet her, couldn't hide it to a point where I'd to pretend to talk on the cellphone when she walked in.

" Her essence keeps dragging me towards her" I smiled.

I'm becoming bipolar, my mood switches whenever I'm around her as if her words carry more healing medicine than all man-made drugs.

" I've to see a doctor, I overworked my brain now is all fucked up" This is the only reason I found convincing.

I need to go back to my old self, although Charles always mumbles about how I should try hold onto my emotions for once. I smirked thinking about it.

Emotions? What about no!!

" your meeting will be in twenty Sr. I already instructed Ms walker on what to do " Sarah informed when I answered her call.

" Thanks, Sarah"

When I entered the conference room I found the gentlemen mingling.

Not saying a word I settled on my chair. Staring down my hands, I counted in my mind as I tapped down my fingers on the table one at a time without making a sound

When I reached five I looked up raising an eyebrow with an emotionless expression, and as expected everyone took their respective places, and no one dared to open their mouth. One would mistake them for corpses, but corpse don't breath, do they?

Everyone who's presence was needed is currently in here except Jane.

I frowned when all the eyes in the room were pinned in the entrance.

" It's the new PA" I saw a bastard whispering and exchanged a knowing look with the man next to him." The name is not important here, look!!" he said nodding her way

and then, my eyes landed on red.

I followed the movement of her right hand sliding down her left arm in an awkward manner. The thickness of her thighs couldn't be camouflaged underneath that red pencil skirt with the minor split on the left, not looking out for the off-shoulder top that exposed her modest neckline.

For some unknown reason she was smiling, I swear there has to be something behind that smile. Maybe a mystery that prevents me from knowing what she is thinking, but before I could figure it out the smile fades when she noticed all the eyes were on her.

A lot of people have green eyes, but when it comes to her is not just the color, is the soul she is concealing behind it and blended with her creamy smooth completion gives away her personality, her brains, and habits not that I got the grasp of it but I'm guessing it might be something good.

Is certainly not her looks, but what she has behind that look.

I tried to hide my stares but couldn't help to study the woman that just walked in. Evidently, the crowd agreed with me, they couldn't keep their eyes to themselves making my anger boost instantly.

She scanned the room and when she found me I nodded so she could come sit next to me.

I was trying so hard to keep my anger under control but these bastard's eyes were glued on her.

" Gentlemen if we're done feeding our eyes, may we move on to business? " I roared angrily.

" Now that I've your attention, I need feedback on the new project launched by G tech" I asked and everyone started flipping through their documents.

" The Product has been receiving great feedback their stock keeps increasing with the method we proposed. " Jorge answered proudly.

This meeting was the most irritating I ever had. Throughout the meeting, I'd to hit the table a few times and shout to get their attention, and Jane was amazingly scared every time I did so.

" Ms walker?" I called. " I need you to go to my office and get my black pen, don't come back till you find it"

She walked out without a word. I took a black pen from between the documents and placed it in my pocket.

"Now, let's see if your heads can concentrate now. Continue the meeting "

After the meeting, I went straight to my office where Jane was still looking for the pen. I stood there looking at her stressed figure. She was murmuring something I swear she was cursing me.

Then she stood up landing both hands on her hips, her back facing me.

" Bastard " she growled stressed.

" Bastard? Who may that be?" I asked making my way to my desk.

She jumped startled when she saw me. "No one Sr. I'm sorry I couldn't find your pen "

" It's fine I didn't expect much from you anyway" The way her facial expression changed I bet she wanted to say something but she decided to keep it to herself instead she started biting her lips, an action that unconsciously caught my attention.

" I'll excuse myself, need to go prepare for the next meeting" she said walking to the door.

" Ms. Walker?" She stopped then turned around facing me.

" For the next meeting, I want to find you in the meeting room in your seat, no standing up, whoever wants more water or whatever they will get it themselves, under no circumstance you'll stand up from that seat unless I say so. Am I clear?"

Although her outfit was decent it was too appealing and those bastards behavior was not helping. I didn't want to fire anyone.

She looked at me confused but gave in.

"Yes Sir " She agreed and walked out.

What is it about this woman? I'd to keep my shit together not to punch those hungry men. Should I implement a new rule so women in this building only wear trousers?

It was time for the next meeting. As I requested Jane was on her seat.

Good!! one less problem to deal with.

" Summarize for me what is the plan you come up with for this contract " They explained and we made some changes to the contract.

" Let's start with the conference call " I informed.

Jane was busy trying to connect us to Mr. Lee from South Korea. Unfortunately Korean was not one of the languages I mastered so we always used a translator.

" Where is Brad? " I asked when I notice that the person who was supposed to translate was not present.

" He is running late Sir, I'll go call him again" Jorge said I could see he was scared.

" Are you fucking kidding me? I'm about to be connected to one of my biggest investors and you are saying the fucking translator is not here "

" Who is in charge of this contract " I shouted.

" I'm Sr " The man with brown hair blue suit and scared black eyes on my right answered.

" Let me make it clear Michael. If I don't have a translator here when the call goes through, you and your translator will be given a vacation forever. Was I clear enough? " I gravelly informed when I noticed a scared little rabbit next to me raising a hand.

" Yes, Ms. Walker " I questioned my tone running down to a softer road.

" I can translate Sir " She mumbled even though she seemed nervous.

" And why didn't you say so before I shouted my lungs out to these assholes" I asked annoyed.

" You were busy yelling, that's why " she said her attitude escaping through her lips not bothering to look at me, making me frown.

Her eyes popped open when she realized what she just said " I mean, I didn't want to interrupt you Sir. " she added.

"Okay let's continue. The asshole that was supposed to translate, inform him that he just signed his death sentence, Ms. Walker? " I looked at her confused. Why was she still seating?

" Sr, I was warned not to leave my seat unless I was told otherwise" she reminded me, I could swear she had a grin across her face.

This woman can't be serious." Ms. Walker please stand up and go in front to translate " I said indicating where the microphone was.

" Good afternoon Chairman Lee .

Bowing her head slightly she greeted when we were connected to Mr. Lee.

" We have emailed the contract to your lawyers, it has been reviewed and we hope we will reach an agreement that will be profitable for both parties "

The meeting was successful after a few changes in the contract. Finally we were done for the day.

Everyone was gone except Jane that was busy taking all the papers and adjusting the room while I went through some emails. She looked at me not saying a word.

" Ms. Walker? " I called without taking my eyes off the laptop. " Do you perhaps expect me to thank you for translating today? "

" No Sir, It's fine I didn't expect much from you anyway " She quoted my words bringing a smirk across my face.

I walked up to her and stopped right in front of her short figure. I looked down and her cheeks were rosy red.

Leaned down whispering in her ears. " I advise you not to start a game you can't play "

" As long as you work for this company, you belong to me Ms. Walker, from the language you speak to the air you breathe, so get used to it " I informed her then walked away.
