Working with Sylvester was a bit difficult because I found him to be very serious-minded. I didn't know much about business and that was because my father never got the chance to train me. I had to rely heavily on Sylvester, and he did not know much either. Our tradition of isolating ourselves from Humans had done a lot of damage without us noticing. If only we were allowed to interact with humans and also acquire their education we would have evolved. I compared our pack with the werewolves pack, and the truth was, even though we were higher wolves than them, they were more advanced and comfortable than we were.
Realising our situation was helpless, I decided we would need to consult Alex. Sylvester tried to kick against it but later agreed eventually.
Samantha Rhonda and Mason arrived in the evening the next day. I had tried to communicate with Helena throughout the night, but she hadn't responded. I hoped allowing her to let loose would fix the issues between us. The truth was Helena wanted me to reconcile with Alex, and I had refused. Apart from what he and his pack did and what he made me go through, he was married to another wolf. Yes, he had moved permanently to the human town, but he was still married to Hilda. I couldn't stoop as low as getting back with him while he was married. I didn't want to give him the chance to betray me again. If I ever had to be with someone it would be someone I didn't care so much for, so when he ever betrays me, it wouldn't hurt so bad. The cabin only had two rooms. I had to give up the room I occupied with Nicole for Rhonda and Mason. To make me comfortable, Alex decided he would sleep on the couch while the children and I would take the room. After dinner, Alex and I headed out. The twins d
SamanthaAlthough I was running the pack affairs from the human town, I still had to keep up with appearances. So I still cleaned people's homes but had reduced my clients to three. Ever since the incident in the woods, Helena had begun to speak to me. I was mad at her, but I was glad to have my wolf back, and I enjoyed every bit of what we did in the woods, even though I gave Alex hell for it. I didn't know how long I would be able to hold out on him because I wanted more. Every time I thought of him, my p*ssy clenched. I wanted him so badly, but I was too scared to take him back. As much as my body needed his love, I couldn't get over the fact that he had been with someone else after me, even if it was just once, it doesn't change the fact that he had. While cleaning a client's house, Helena began to complain."We can't go on like this. As much as you enjoy cleaning, we are not humans and should not be doing mundane things," she complained."So what would you have me do? Shift and r
Alex I was very angry and scared at the same time. Samantha didn't even have the decency to tell me in person she was leaving. Although she claimed it was sudden, and that she would be back soon, I was still angry, and I suspected it was Sylvester's doing. The thought of them being together stirred up rage in me and Damien. I knew Sam was unaware of Sylvester's interest and, that was because she had always been oblivious of such things, but everyone knew it. Rhonda, Elisabeth, everyone except Sam. I had planned on spending more time with her by using the twins as an excuse just to win her back. How was I going to achieve that now? Sly Sylvester had beat me to it. It was frustrating having to compete with another man for Sam. Syl
Alex. I couldn't believe what Hilda told me. I felt like strangling her. I couldn't believe she would keep such vital information from me all these years. It had almost been five years since my father was killed, and she didn't deem it fit to tell me? I held her throat and pinned her to the wall upon speaking. "What do you know about my father's death?" I asked with so much rage. My father dying was the beginning of all my problems. If he wasn't killed, I wouldn't have become Alpha. Sam would have still been in my life. I would have claimed and married her, and we would have been a proper family. I made all the sacrifices to get revenge for my father's death. Something I had been unable to do. The thought of Hilda knowing who the culprit was or what happened and deciding to keep it from me, burned. I noticed she was trying to speak so I relaxed my grip a little. Just enough so she could tell me exactly what she wanted to say. " I know someone in the Blue moon pack, and she told
Samantha. The new Alpha quarters was ostentatious. The Newmoons had a very high taste and didn't mind spending money to satiate it. The apartment Sylvester took me to was huge. I was uncomfortable settling in. My first night on the bed was uncomfortable it was the first time I realised how lonely I was. When Alex had rejected me and dumped me in the house he had bought in the human side of town, I never slept in the master's bedroom. The other beds in the house weren't so big. They were enough for two but not as big as the one I and Alex shared. When I moved to Elisabeth's house, I slept in a much smaller bed, which became even smaller when I began to share it with my children. Often I would sleep on the floor to give them more room. Sleeping at Alex's place was good for the twins. They didn't have to share a bed. Lying on the king-size bed in the Luna Eclipse's alpha quarters brought me sad memories, and I wept for the first time in over four years. Alex had made love to me and on
Samantha The forest wasn't quite as I remembered it. As we ran through the woods, I could feel intense discomfort. It was as if the woods were troubled too. " Why does it feel weird in this place?" I asked Sylvester telepathically. " The mutant wolves hunt here often. Since they are unable to transform back to their human forms, most of them live wildly like animals," he explained to me. " They should be able to turn," I said without confidence. " If it was an alpha that turned them, then yes, they should be able to turn back to their human forms. But what turned them was corrupted magic. Their existence right now is corruption in itself." he said, and I let it drop.
Alex. Damien was restless all through the night. He was worried that Sam was in danger. I wondered how he could feel them when they were far away. I tossed and turned all through the night. By morning, my eyes were still heavy. The twins had come to wake me up in my room, jumping on my bed. It was always a joy to see them in the morning, but this particular morning was different. I was tired and grouchy. I hid my mood and played with them a little. " Okay, let's go get ready for the day," I told them, lifting them. " Hilda already helped us," Nicole said, and I was surprised. I never remembered extending an invitation to Hilda to come to my house in the human town. I was going to deal with the woman my mother sent to help me out. The help was the only explanation for how Hilda got in. Rhonda had asked to take them out. I appreciated her offer, and I was somehow glad because it meant I would get to do some work. I didn't want Rhonda to find Hilda in my home. Rhonda was Sam's best f
Samantha. I felt something tickle my nose, and I jump off the couch. I had fallen asleep after trying to stand guard all night. My eyes were heavy, and I felt a headache approaching. Sylvester stood in front of me in slacks, smiling. I looked down at my body remembering I didn't shift completely and was somehow naked. luckily, I was covered with a blanket and I had shifted back to my human form. "I figured you'd be cold, so I covered you," Sylvester explained. He seemed better than I guessed he'd be by morning. " You seem better," I commented lazily. I felt completely drained and weak. The lack of rest didn't help either. " Thanks to you, I woke up completely healed," he said, pa
Samantha We returned to the pack with Glover as our prisoner. The red wolf had secured the head of defence, Mr Reynolds. I had special plans for him. We lost two apex wolves, and eight wolves were injured. Judging by our odds, I knew we were lucky. Just as Alex once told me that suffering casualties were part of our job description. We couldn't always have it all. I braced myself and ordered an honourable burial for the deceased. We knew reporting Mr Reynolds would be useless because the government was in on it. So I decided to take the laws into my hands. He was going to witness what he made my mother witness ten years ago, because of his greed and lack of humanity. I never said I was a saint. So I sent him home with two delta spirit wolves. I had them slaughter his family in his presence and bring him back to the settlement. He would work as a slave until he no longer had use anymore, then he would be killed. We made sure he wouldn't dream of escaping by framing him for the dea
Samantha. It was time to finally move in on Glover. We intended to sneak up on him. I and Sylvester were going to scout the area first then send a signal. Alex had protested, but eventually, he had to agree. He was new to the terrain, wereas Sylvester knew the area better than me. Together, we were less likely to accidentally alert the enemy of our presence. Alex held me all morning. We made love more than three times. I began to fear he was up to something because this was exactly how he behaved when he rejected and dumped me in the human town in a bid to 'save my life.' " I hope this is not you saying goodbye?" I asked, lying in his arms, and he laughed. " You wish babe. You are stuck with me till the end." He said and began to tickle me. I laughed so hard I had to control myself to breathe. " I am just getting pumped up for the fight," he confessed and winked. He tried to make it seem as if he was simply drawing on our mate bond for energy. He did not need to do that for the s
Samantha Discussing the mutation with Alex was easy. Having faced hunters several times, he believed the mutation would be an advantage. He didn't hesitate to elaborate on how fighting against the hunters with only our jaws and paws would be a bad decision on our part. Hunters used specialised weapons and talismans in battle. We wouldn't stand a chance if we are unable to dodge them and attack them like humans. The fact that everyone would be in their right senses after transformation was good news too because he believed that was what deterred most of them in the first place. The marking wearing off after three days was a plus. Although it was easy to explain to Alex and convince him, I doubted it would be that easy with the elders. W
Samantha I sat alone in the alpha's office contemplating when we could start searching our cabins in the woods. Alex's idea was excellent. It was normal that he would think in that direction. He had fought and defended his pack even before his father went missing. He had all the experience and training that I did not have. I sat there wondering where we would start the search. If we would spread out and search different cabins or if all of us would just go to the one I spent the night in with Sylvester. We needed to be careful how we moved so we wouldn't tip them off. Someone knocked on my door, and I asked the person to enter. It was my mother. I smiled immediately I saw her. I had never imagined that I would see her again after that night that we parted in the woods. The memory came back to me in a rush. My mother had allowed me to ride on her wolf's back to escape the massacre. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't be alive. We had run for almost twenty-four hours before we got to th
Samantha. The journey to the Luna Eclipse pack was a bit longer than expected. It would have been shorter if we went through the forest, but because we were going with the twins, we couldn't do that, so we opted to drive there. leaving with the twins was a tough decision, but we knew that Glover would attack the Yellow moon pack if we left them there. It was best we took everyone that was connected to us along with us. Alex's parents had insisted to join in the fight. We tried to persuade them not to come. Eventually, we allowed his father to come along and insisted his mother remained. Someone needed to remain to run the pack. She was to work hand in hand with Robert Carter and Delta Ashton Whitespear. Abel Wey was too excited about the fight that he made me a bit worried. The fact that he could not die was a plus on our side, but the fact that he had no motivation was a problem. What if he decided to switch sides last minute? He had no allegiances to anyone, nor did he have any af
Alex. A week passed in peace. We weren't relaxed, but we were relieved. We had time to rest and gather our thoughts. We sat and planned how we will bring peace by putting an end to Glover. With most of our disputes resolved, planning on how to end Glover's reign of terror was all we focused on. Luna Tamar had kept her promise and placed Raphael as the new Alpha of Rosehip's pack. The Blue moon pack members had tried to revolt, but unfortunately for them, Spirit wolves hated being challenged and disrespected. Luna Tamar had killed off their Beta, Gamma and Delta. The rest of the pack did not need much convincing to fall in line. As expected, the Blue moon pack became the Blood moon pack. Raphael tried to make peace with us, but we weren't there yet. A lot had happened because of his grudge. He had let Rosehip mislead him and ruin lives. He was lucky he wasn't involved in the people trading business, he would have died along with his mentor. Although he claimed he wanted justice, he h
Alex After a week of agony and pain, Luna Tamar finally arrived with a blue-eyed woman. She looked ethereal and beautiful. There was no doubt she was a goddess. I wondered why she was on the physical plane, but I kept my questions to myself. We had moved Sam to one of the rooms on the ground floor of the Alpha quarters. The room was kept cool at all times. I would often fill the tub with ice and place her in it to cool her system. Sam could not eat, therefore, I fed her mainly liquid. I wished I could share her agony and pain, and the fact that it was impossible gave me more heartache. The weird-looking woman examined Sam and smiled. " An Alpha," She smiled and looked at a man that stood next to her. " What do you say Abel, darling. A direct descendant of Selene." She said and smiled, then looked at me. " I don't do freebies." She stated, and I saw a pink human butterfly stand on her shoulder. " Meet, Hill, " she introduced the thing, and I didn't know how to respond. " Hello A
Alex. I was just helping Sam's mother to settle in when Zeta Ashley came to call me. I knew something bad must have happened because we hardly spoke. The moment I got the news of what happened to Sam, I ran out. I rushed to the infirmary when I was told Sam was injured and had been taken there by Sylvester. Elisabeth had come to call me, but Zeta Ashley had beaten her to it. Sam's mother had followed me to the infirmary. It was sad that this was the first time she would see her daughter since she was fifteen and Sam was badly injured. The twins were sent to my parents. Upon getting to the infirmary. I saw Sam stripped bare with her chest down and her back exposed. There were blackish veins around the claw wound on her back. "What the hell is this?" I screamed, " How did this happen?" I asked, and no one responded. The fact that she wasn't moving scared me. "No, No, Sam," I began to plead, " Please don't do this to me. You promised you would be alright. You have to fight this." I
Alex "What is going on here?" I asked, approaching my parents. " Alex Stand down!" My father commanded. It was clear that he had forgotten that he was no longer my Alpha and couldn't command me. " No, father, this is also my fight," I replied and stood next to him to face the woman and Raphael. I saw Raphael whisper something to the woman, and she set her eyes on me. " So you are the werewolf that fights with magic?" She condescendingly asked me. " What do you want ?" I asked her ignoring her question. " I do not want anything from the likes of you," she stated, " You have nothing to give
