Samantha

The forest wasn't quite as I remembered it. As we ran through the woods, I could feel intense discomfort. It was as if the woods were troubled too.

" Why does it feel weird in this place?" I asked Sylvester telepathically.

" The mutant wolves hunt here often. Since they are unable to transform back to their human forms, most of them live wildly like animals," he explained to me.

" They should be able to turn," I said without confidence.

" If it was an alpha that turned them, then yes, they should be able to turn back to their human forms. But what turned them was corrupted magic. Their existence right now is corruption in itself." he said, and I let it drop.

Alex. Damien was restless all through the night. He was worried that Sam was in danger. I wondered how he could feel them when they were far away. I tossed and turned all through the night. By morning, my eyes were still heavy. The twins had come to wake me up in my room, jumping on my bed. It was always a joy to see them in the morning, but this particular morning was different. I was tired and grouchy. I hid my mood and played with them a little. " Okay, let's go get ready for the day," I told them, lifting them. " Hilda already helped us," Nicole said, and I was surprised. I never remembered extending an invitation to Hilda to come to my house in the human town. I was going to deal with the woman my mother sent to help me out. The help was the only explanation for how Hilda got in. Rhonda had asked to take them out. I appreciated her offer, and I was somehow glad because it meant I would get to do some work. I didn't want Rhonda to find Hilda in my home. Rhonda was Sam's best f

Samantha. I felt something tickle my nose, and I jump off the couch. I had fallen asleep after trying to stand guard all night. My eyes were heavy, and I felt a headache approaching. Sylvester stood in front of me in slacks, smiling. I looked down at my body remembering I didn't shift completely and was somehow naked. luckily, I was covered with a blanket and I had shifted back to my human form. "I figured you'd be cold, so I covered you," Sylvester explained. He seemed better than I guessed he'd be by morning. " You seem better," I commented lazily. I felt completely drained and weak. The lack of rest didn't help either. " Thanks to you, I woke up completely healed," he said, pa

  • Spirit Wolf   Chapter 61 Therapy Talk

Samantha. I was surprised that we had slept through the day and into the night. I woke up in the night briefly and went back to sleep. By morning I was refreshed. Remembering what I had done the previous morning made me nervous. I carefully slid out of the bed and went to freshen up. While in the shower, I hoped that things won't get awkward between Sylvester and me. I got another slack that fit from the wardrobe. This time around it was pink with Puma written on it. I doubted if it was the real thing, but I was glad to have something to wear. Living as a wolf didn't give a lot of room for choices when it came to clothes as you could tear them anytime due to a shift. No wonder the Newmoons kept the clothing cheap. I left Sylvester in the room, sleeping, while I headed out to make breakfast. I intend to check out the so-called armoury after breakfast because I wanted to return to the settlement. Physically I could feel my lack of strength. I could fight some of the mutant wolves, I wa

  • Spirit Wolf   Chapter 62 Trouble

Alex Alpha Rosehip of the blue moon pack had arranged a meeting with me. Although Hilda had told me he was behind the attacks on our pack, I couldn't act on it until I was sure. So I obliged him. I had to return to the pack settlement for the meeting. I didn't want my children around the same vicinity as Rosehip, so I left them with Elisabeth and Rhonda while Mason and I returned to the pack settlement. The meeting room had already been prepared, and I had informed all the wolves to be on their guards. There had never been trust between the Yellow moon pack and the Blue moon pack. I did not want to be caught unawares. I knew Rosehip wasn't happy that our pack now ranked higher than his, and beating us seemed impossible since we were on the number one spot and his pack was at the third position. What he had tried to do for the Blood moon pack was noble but what he did afterwards was unforgivable. He had also worked against me when he convinced the Alpha of the Full moon pack not to

Samantha Sylvester had returned to the human town with me. We made sure we did not speak of what had transpired between us. There were questions in the air between us, but neither dared to ask for fear of what the outcome might be. Knowing Glover had devised a new method of attack, by gouging out the eyes of his minions so they couldn't be enthralled by my stare, I needed to strengthen my fighting skills. Up until now, I had been fighting from instincts only, but now I needed to train properly and that was precisely why I let Sylvester return with me, and also his father insisted and my hands were tied because the decision was unanimously ratified. We arrived in the morning, I immediately rushed to Alex's house to pick up the tw

  • Spirit Wolf   Chapter 64 Let Us Work It Out

Alex I could not let whatever it was Sam believed to linger. I was not fully recovered from the wolfsbane, but I needed to find her. So, I went straight to Elisabeth's house. I feared the reception I would get, but I knew this was something I needed to do regardless of the outcome. If I did not try, I could lose everything I held dear. Sam wasn't happy to see me, as I suspected, but I wasn't fazed by her reaction. She was usually indifferent towards me, and it hurt like hell, but this time around I felt her anger. "Sam, I need to speak with you." I pleaded, and she asked me to leave. There was no Alpha tone in her words, so I was able to resist. " Please, Sam," I pleaded. When I noticed she wasn't going to agree, I pleaded with Elisabeth to excuse us, and she did. " Please, Sam, it isn't what you think. Betty told me what happened." I tried to explain. " I don't care what you do behind closed doors, Alex, but allowing Hilda near my children is a different matter altogether.' she

  • Spirit Wolf   Chapter 65 Reconciliation

Samantha I had always wondered what reconciliation would feel like. I took a deep breath and exhaled. Deciding to forgive him brought me great relief. I didn't know I was holding so much in. I had held so much inside. I was angry, hurt and then scared. Alex had hurt me deeply, and even though I knew he was truly sorry, I still felt the need to punish him. I looked at him. I could feel his desperation. Finding out what transpired between Sylvester and I must have been difficult, yet he managed to hold it in and pursue reconciliation instead. I knew it would take a while for him to get over it. I was yet to get over his involvement with Hilda, but it was time for us to move on and put the past behind us. " Alex," I began," When you abandoned me here and rejected me, my entire world crumbled. I never want to feel that way again. " I confessed, and he remained silent. Alex I had no words to respond to what she had said. All I could do was stare and hope. She was about to say somethin

Alex. Waking up next to Sam felt amazing. She looked beautiful in her sleep. I recognised that fragile look she always had on, but I wasn't fooled this time around. I knew she was an Alpha spirit wolf, a goddess, and she was all mine. Indeed the moon goddess had smiled on me. I never imagined that we would reconcile, but it had finally happened. I snuck out of bed so I wouldn't wake her up and headed straight to the bathroom. Seeing my happy reflection in the mirror made me proud. I examined the mark on my shoulder, it had fully healed and was barely visible. Sam had claimed me, and I had claimed her too. I was glad I wasn't stupid enough to allow Hilda to mark me. As I traced the bite, I smiled because it was worth the wait. The pain and suffering were worth it. Sleeping in my office for three years was worth it. Being celibate for three years was worth it. I was glad. By marking each other, we had connected ourselves permanently. I hated sly Sylvester for what he did, but thanks to

Samantha We returned to the pack with Glover as our prisoner. The red wolf had secured the head of defence, Mr Reynolds. I had special plans for him. We lost two apex wolves, and eight wolves were injured. Judging by our odds, I knew we were lucky. Just as Alex once told me that suffering casualties were part of our job description. We couldn't always have it all. I braced myself and ordered an honourable burial for the deceased. We knew reporting Mr Reynolds would be useless because the government was in on it. So I decided to take the laws into my hands. He was going to witness what he made my mother witness ten years ago, because of his greed and lack of humanity. I never said I was a saint. So I sent him home with two delta spirit wolves. I had them slaughter his family in his presence and bring him back to the settlement. He would work as a slave until he no longer had use anymore, then he would be killed. We made sure he wouldn't dream of escaping by framing him for the dea

Samantha. It was time to finally move in on Glover. We intended to sneak up on him. I and Sylvester were going to scout the area first then send a signal. Alex had protested, but eventually, he had to agree. He was new to the terrain, wereas Sylvester knew the area better than me. Together, we were less likely to accidentally alert the enemy of our presence. Alex held me all morning. We made love more than three times. I began to fear he was up to something because this was exactly how he behaved when he rejected and dumped me in the human town in a bid to 'save my life.' " I hope this is not you saying goodbye?" I asked, lying in his arms, and he laughed. " You wish babe. You are stuck with me till the end." He said and began to tickle me. I laughed so hard I had to control myself to breathe. " I am just getting pumped up for the fight," he confessed and winked. He tried to make it seem as if he was simply drawing on our mate bond for energy. He did not need to do that for the s

  • Spirit Wolf   Chapter 96 Claw Marking Ritual

Samantha Discussing the mutation with Alex was easy. Having faced hunters several times, he believed the mutation would be an advantage. He didn't hesitate to elaborate on how fighting against the hunters with only our jaws and paws would be a bad decision on our part. Hunters used specialised weapons and talismans in battle. We wouldn't stand a chance if we are unable to dodge them and attack them like humans. The fact that everyone would be in their right senses after transformation was good news too because he believed that was what deterred most of them in the first place. The marking wearing off after three days was a plus. Although it was easy to explain to Alex and convince him, I doubted it would be that easy with the elders. W

  • Spirit Wolf   Chapter 95 How He Died

Samantha I sat alone in the alpha's office contemplating when we could start searching our cabins in the woods. Alex's idea was excellent. It was normal that he would think in that direction. He had fought and defended his pack even before his father went missing. He had all the experience and training that I did not have. I sat there wondering where we would start the search. If we would spread out and search different cabins or if all of us would just go to the one I spent the night in with Sylvester. We needed to be careful how we moved so we wouldn't tip them off. Someone knocked on my door, and I asked the person to enter. It was my mother. I smiled immediately I saw her. I had never imagined that I would see her again after that night that we parted in the woods. The memory came back to me in a rush. My mother had allowed me to ride on her wolf's back to escape the massacre. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't be alive. We had run for almost twenty-four hours before we got to th

  • Spirit Wolf   Chapter 94 I Am Boss

Samantha. The journey to the Luna Eclipse pack was a bit longer than expected. It would have been shorter if we went through the forest, but because we were going with the twins, we couldn't do that, so we opted to drive there. leaving with the twins was a tough decision, but we knew that Glover would attack the Yellow moon pack if we left them there. It was best we took everyone that was connected to us along with us. Alex's parents had insisted to join in the fight. We tried to persuade them not to come. Eventually, we allowed his father to come along and insisted his mother remained. Someone needed to remain to run the pack. She was to work hand in hand with Robert Carter and Delta Ashton Whitespear. Abel Wey was too excited about the fight that he made me a bit worried. The fact that he could not die was a plus on our side, but the fact that he had no motivation was a problem. What if he decided to switch sides last minute? He had no allegiances to anyone, nor did he have any af

  • Spirit Wolf   Chapter 93 Our Utopia

Alex. A week passed in peace. We weren't relaxed, but we were relieved. We had time to rest and gather our thoughts. We sat and planned how we will bring peace by putting an end to Glover. With most of our disputes resolved, planning on how to end Glover's reign of terror was all we focused on. Luna Tamar had kept her promise and placed Raphael as the new Alpha of Rosehip's pack. The Blue moon pack members had tried to revolt, but unfortunately for them, Spirit wolves hated being challenged and disrespected. Luna Tamar had killed off their Beta, Gamma and Delta. The rest of the pack did not need much convincing to fall in line. As expected, the Blue moon pack became the Blood moon pack. Raphael tried to make peace with us, but we weren't there yet. A lot had happened because of his grudge. He had let Rosehip mislead him and ruin lives. He was lucky he wasn't involved in the people trading business, he would have died along with his mentor. Although he claimed he wanted justice, he h

  • Spirit Wolf   Chapter 92 Rosehip's Judgement

Alex After a week of agony and pain, Luna Tamar finally arrived with a blue-eyed woman. She looked ethereal and beautiful. There was no doubt she was a goddess. I wondered why she was on the physical plane, but I kept my questions to myself. We had moved Sam to one of the rooms on the ground floor of the Alpha quarters. The room was kept cool at all times. I would often fill the tub with ice and place her in it to cool her system. Sam could not eat, therefore, I fed her mainly liquid. I wished I could share her agony and pain, and the fact that it was impossible gave me more heartache. The weird-looking woman examined Sam and smiled. " An Alpha," She smiled and looked at a man that stood next to her. " What do you say Abel, darling. A direct descendant of Selene." She said and smiled, then looked at me. " I don't do freebies." She stated, and I saw a pink human butterfly stand on her shoulder. " Meet, Hill, " she introduced the thing, and I didn't know how to respond. " Hello A

Alex. I was just helping Sam's mother to settle in when Zeta Ashley came to call me. I knew something bad must have happened because we hardly spoke. The moment I got the news of what happened to Sam, I ran out. I rushed to the infirmary when I was told Sam was injured and had been taken there by Sylvester. Elisabeth had come to call me, but Zeta Ashley had beaten her to it. Sam's mother had followed me to the infirmary. It was sad that this was the first time she would see her daughter since she was fifteen and Sam was badly injured. The twins were sent to my parents. Upon getting to the infirmary. I saw Sam stripped bare with her chest down and her back exposed. There were blackish veins around the claw wound on her back. "What the hell is this?" I screamed, " How did this happen?" I asked, and no one responded. The fact that she wasn't moving scared me. "No, No, Sam," I began to plead, " Please don't do this to me. You promised you would be alright. You have to fight this." I

Alex "What is going on here?" I asked, approaching my parents. " Alex Stand down!" My father commanded. It was clear that he had forgotten that he was no longer my Alpha and couldn't command me. " No, father, this is also my fight," I replied and stood next to him to face the woman and Raphael. I saw Raphael whisper something to the woman, and she set her eyes on me. " So you are the werewolf that fights with magic?" She condescendingly asked me. " What do you want ?" I asked her ignoring her question. " I do not want anything from the likes of you," she stated, " You have nothing to give
