“Gretchen,” he calls her name with disgust. They remove their hoodies to reveal their almost identical faces as they leave the edge of the roof. Gretchen is about 6’3ft tall, she has a slender body and she walks majestically. She has straight long black hair and pale white skin and her blue eyes stare down at Rachael. “How the mighty have fallen. Now you date humans? I’m disappointed”, “What do you want, wench?” “Where is Samuel?”, Gretchen’s companion and sister ask. “Not around but I can tell you he will be glad to miss this,” Gabriel says and the girl snarls at him, “Calm down Emily,” Gretchen says. Emily is about 5’12ft tall, she has much more flesh than her twin, Gretchen, her eyes hold a menacing look and her pale skin makes her look even scarier. She has short black hair and attractive curves, any man would want a woman with her body but not the face she has now, the face of a ferocious vixen. “Rachael, get out of here” Gabriel says, “If you move I will kill you, human” Gr
John steps out of his bathroom with a white towel around his waist, his phone lights up as a notification comes up and he picks it up. It is a message from his boss at Peoples’ United Bank; not surprising since the vampire has been missing work recently. I will just hypnotize him as usual. He walks to his wardrobe at the corner of the room.He searches through his neatly arranged clothes on the rack.John’s ears pick up on a thud in the background; he drops his phone on the table and tries to grasp the presence of the new entity in the room. “Cassandra? Cassandra, are you in here?”, he calls out as he smells red oak and Eau de cologne in the air. A smile dawns on his face like the first light of day. He swiftly turns around and catches Cassandra’s hands, “So you think you are fast, huh?” Cassandra asks her boyfriend, “Well, you are the one who was caught so yes” John says with a smug face. John draws her closer to himself, he wraps his hands around her waist and he stares into h
Cassandra cuddles up into John’s arms, his body has no warmth since he is an undead but it matters not. She is warm enough for both of them. She gets out of the bed and finds a shirt in John’s closet. She looks at her man sleeping and goes to give him a peck. His cheek is as hard as a brick. She goes to the kitchen to fix herself a glass of water. She drinks the water halfway and stops, she notices something wrong. Something feels off about John’s apartment tonight, so she sniffs into the air as she tries to get the scent of any strange presence. She drops the glass on the counter and bends down to hide behind the kitchen table. Something strange is here, but she has to be sure. She takes a deep breath and exhales; she concentrates so her sharp ears can pick up on any footstep around the house. There is one. No, several footsteps around the house and she knows for a fact that none of John’s neighbors would be coming to the house by this time of the night. The only reasonab
87th Street, Roosevelt. Warren parks on the side of the road, close to an abandoned building, “This is the place,” he says, trying his best to hold in his anger for the smashed window. Marcel rubs his hand against his hair, “You are quite the suspicious man, aren’t you?”, Marcel’s blue eyes assess the young man like a jaguar stalking its prey. “Who are you?” Warrens asks, “Shut up. We aren’t here for chit-chat” Gabriel says, sounding like the guardian of two troublesome kids. They step out of the black Honda civic and walk towards the building. The streets are dark and void of any living creature. A cold breeze blows briefly, kissing behind Gabriel’s ears like a lover while his mind is focused on the annihilation of the Assassin sisters. Gabriel hears no heartbeat, no footsteps but he perceives the smell of blood and the rotten smell of carcass creating a vivid atmosphere of death. They enter the building, “What is that fucking smell?” Warren complains as he raises a hand over
5 Years Ago. Samuel walks around a park to dodge the company of John and Elma, not because he finds them troublesome but so they would not interfere with his plan. The human fool Gabriel has taken under his wing will turn out to be a useful piece. Somehow he has gained Count Dracula’s trust but Samuel does not trust him. To be able to gain Dracula’s trust is not something any human can just do. Besides, if immortality is what Frank McQueen wants then Dracula is better equipped for that. So, why Gabriel? Why does Frank McQueen want Gabriel to grant him immortality? Since he has found Dracula, why doesn’t he give them his location? Even the vampires that secretly work for Dracula do not know his location but Frank found it. He even found them. Samuel doesn’t trust Frank McQueen and he does not believe he is out to help the twins. Gabriel and John seem to believe the human but not Samuel. He has his plans to snuff out Count Dracula but Frank McQueen will have to be bait. His
Gretchen swings her blades stylishly like the center of attraction in a choreographic display. She moves as fast and gentle as the wind and her blades create sounds as they cut through the air, missing her target, Gabriel’s head. Gabriel dodges her attacks; he is at a disadvantage as he finds little space to return an attack of his own. His glowing blue eyes move left to right, creating little traces of light in this dark building, their fight looks like a dance similar to the Chinese martial arts dance, one dodging and the other attacking. The werewolf charge toward Marcel who dodges his attacks and lands a blow to its midsection and Warren tosses a brick at it, hitting his mark on its head. The werewolf is enraged but Marcel shows no fear. Before his betrayal he had been in so many fights alongside Count Dracula, a measly dog like the one before him is nothing compared to the horrors he has seen in his lifetime. The werewolf jumps over Marcel and lunges at Warren, the detect
“Kill them all,” Emily orders, and the wolves attack.Elma swings the sword left and right slashing the werewolves that come close, she displays excellent fighting prowess making their assailants look like amateurs.Emily grabs Samuel’s leg and slams him against a coffer. She pulls out a gun and begins to shoot at the sphinx, “Die, die…die” she says as she empties the cartridge on Samuel.Emily’s eyes turn black with rage and she turns her attention to Elma who is handling herself well.Rachael hides behind the counter, her heart races with fear as Elma tries her best to fight off the werewolves but she knows the vampire will not be able to hold out for long. She doesn’t know what to do.I can’t remain here. She opens a drawer and sees it; the dagger that started it, its name fresh in her memory like the fear that courses through her body like a stream of blood.Nightmare.There is a gun beside the dagger. She picks up both and the timing cannot be any better. A werewolf drops on th
“Long time no see, John Williams” Marcus calls his name with an unknown familiarity making Lucas stare in bewilderment.“What is this?” Lucas asks, “John here, has been an ally of our family for six decades now.He served with our father in World War II,” the head of the Tremblays says.“How come I am just finding out about this?” Lucas demands an answer, “Not everything is known, Luke” he answers apathetically. “We need to talk John. Tell me what happened to my sister” Marcus turns his attention to the chained vampire.“You could have just asked politely but you went ahead to kidnap me,” John says, burying his anger underneath an emotionless face.“Talk,” Lucas pressures on, “Lucas,” Marcus calls his name out and his younger brother quenches his anger like sand over a fire.“John,” he urges the vampire to speak.“At the very least, you can let me down” John demands, “The reason I have not chopped you into little pieces is because of the history you and our family share,” Marcus says
