Magical Element

Chapter Three 

All in all, my first day of school was not that too bad. I have met Andy and he is being nice to me. Unless to the young man named Lucas, maybe my magic was worked on him let see what will happen tomorrow. 

As I open the door of our house. I was surprised, my Grandmother and my mother have a strange look to me. I wonder if I have something that I have done that is forbidden? I turned my attention to Craft, she's seated on the sofa and wagging her tail waiting for me to lift her. I sat beside her and I stroked her fluffy fur. I don't look at them, I wonder what they want to tell me. 

"Thana!" My Mother called me. I raised my gaze to glance at her. 

"Yes, Mother?" 

"How was your first day of school?" 

"It was good."I look at my Grandmother who is being so quiet, I feel that she wants to ask me something."

" Who was Lucas? and Andy? My Grandmother asked me. 

So, I am right, Grandmother was curious about Lucas and Andy. I can sense it, maybe Mia says everything about them. 

" Oh, Lucas was just arrogant and famous on campus? And Andy was my new friend, he is nice to me." 

"Remember what I have said to you." As my Grandmother reminded me again. 

"I know, Grand Ma, I never forgot that." 

"Did you use your magic in front of many people?" 

"Yeah, I did. I said to her with fear in my eyes. 

" But you don't need to be worried, I was being careful. "

I picked up all my things and went inside to my room. Ever since I was a child my Grandmother always reminds me of this. I should not mingle with people and keep a distance from them and another reason is I should not fall in love with a man. My magic power will be lost. So, this is the life of being a witch. Many are forbidden and obey the rules of what custom where I grew up. 

I threw myself on my bed and just looked at the ceiling of my room and I started to play my magic power. I am not so good at using my magic, so this is the way I practised it. 

I flicked my fingers and tried to disappear from my bed and bring myself back. 

The next thing that I do is to freeze all the objects in my place and stop the hour that I mastered a lot. And one magic trick I have difficulty with is to animate and float things in the air. I concentrated to do this magic trick, but suddenly Mia appeared again, which distracted me. 

"Why do you always do that Mia?" 

"I'm sorry, I never know." 

"Hmm… I just sigh and go back to my bed. 

Mia sits beside me and holds my hand at that moment, everything in my place has changed. We went to a paradise place and Mia is not a shadow and a smoke-shaped one that always sees her. 

Her body had a sparkle of light that flickered in my eyes. She has long hair just like mine, but I still can't see her face. She is still holding my hands as we walk along with the paradise place. 

"Where are we?" I asked her. 

"I will bring you to my place." she smiled, I can't see her face. 

"Oh, this place is beautiful, I never thought that you would leave here." 

"I only come to you when you need me. And for the times that I want to be with you." 

"Oh, Mia, that's too sweet." 

"You are my best friend, my other half." 

It makes me cry when Mia says that to me she's naughty sometimes but I love her, she's my other half, my guardian. 

Mia brought me here in her Paradise Place, so peaceful and a lot of magic power that surrounded this place,  I can feel it, I can sense the magic that running into my body. They are like water flowing into my blood and body. She showed me around to see the place, I can't believe that there's a place like this. 

"It's a secret place for all the witches. She said to me, 

I was stunned by what she said. I just can't believe that there are so many hidden things that witches have. In my sixteen years of my existence, my mother never talks about it to me. 

" In this place, you can learn how to use your magic power, you can learn how to control it. Later on, you can see that place." 

As we walk in this Paradise Place Mia never let go of my hands, she brings me to the place of magical elements. The Earth, Air, Fire and Water. Each of the four natural elements has its energy signatures. 

The earth's magical power is a power of healing; its qualities are cool, dense and heavy. 

The Air magical power is a power of fast and invisible its qualities are projective and temporary. 

The Fire magical power is a power of Destruction and Active its qualities are fast, hot and projective. And the last magical power element is Water. 

The power of magical Water is the power of Erosive or Erosion. Its qualities are cold, peaceful and receptive. 

These are the magical powers of the elements that I need to learn. I move closer to the crystalline to touch them. But, at that moment the magic crystals vanished into the air. 

Suddenly, I look at Mia and my eyes questioning what happened. She doesn't answer me and yet she holds my hands and after a moment we go back to my room. 

"What happened?" 

"Nothing, we just need to get back here." 

"Why?" asked her in my poker face. 

"Your mother is looking for you." 

"Oh, yes. It's dinner time." 

"Wait... What about the magical elements why they suddenly disappear?" 

"I can't answer you about that, there are so many miracles happening in my place. Soon, I will take you to Atenowa." 

"Atenowa?"  My eyes widened in shock when I heard Atenowa. I just leave it for the meantime because my mother calling me to have dinner. 

"Come, join us." 

Mia joins us for dinner, although she does not eat, she just sits with us during our meal and Craft the fatty cat that is enjoying her dinner for tonight that my Grandmother prepared.
